𝗞𝗲𝗻 𝗷𝗶𝗷 𝗣𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗹? 🐷

De meeste mensen kennen ons van VAEX natuurlijk van de handel en het transport. Maar we doen meer! Met Pigarné hebben we namelijk ook een eigen tak die gespecialiseerd is in het slachten en verwerken van biggen.

Het mooie is dat de lijnen kort zijn. Onze Dirk is namelijk de eigenaar van beide bedrijven. Of je biggen nu de handel in gaan via VAEX of naar de slachterij gaan bij Pigarné: bij ons heb je alles onder 1 dak.

Dat schakelt een stuk sneller en je weet zeker dat het goed geregeld is door hetzelfde vertrouwde team. Wel zo makkelijk, toch?

Today we take you behind the scenes with our quality department, led by our Quality Manager Jur Bulsink

From the moment piglets arrive at our facility, every step is monitored carefully.
Animal welfare, hygiene and controlled procedures are key elements throughout the entire process.

Our quality team ensures that animals are handled with care and that all processes meet strict standards - from arrival and handling to processing and shipment.

The photo series shows part of that journey: from arrival at the facility to the controlled production process inside the slaughterhouse.

Much of this work happens behind the scenes, but it plays a crucial role in delivering a consistent and reliable product to our customers worldwide.

𝐁𝐢𝐣 𝐊𝐞𝐬𝐛𝐞𝐤𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐫𝐤 𝐧𝐨𝐨𝐢𝐭 𝐳𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐚𝐫 𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐫𝐤.

Vorige week ging het MT van Pigarné op inspiratiebezoek in Amsterdam. Bij een familiebedrijf dat al generaties lang laat zien wat vakmanschap betekent.

Van een kelder aan het Waterlooplein naar een sterk merk met karakter.
Met lef. Met trots. Met aandacht voor kwaliteit.

We kregen een kijkje achter de schermen.
Spraken over ondernemerschap en koers houden in een concurrerende markt.

En natuurlijk kwamen we niet met lege handen.
Als dank overhandigden we onze biggenracks met een uniek Pigarné-Kesbeke recept.

Twee producten.
Dezelfde mentaliteit.

Behind the scenes: Supply of piglets

Every day, several groups of piglets arrive at our slaughterhouse in the Netherlands. These are piglets that are no longer suitable for the fattening process.

At Pigarné, this is a smooth process. Upon arrival, the animals are unloaded in our dedicated reception hall. From there, the trucks immediately continue to our washing and disinfection area, where they are thoroughly cleaned before returning to the road.
