Jurijs Molokovics has been working at sea for over four decades since graduating from Latvia’s Maritime College in 1982. He is the captain of the Dorado II trawler, operated by our Latvian subsidiary Batterfisa SIA, based in Riga.

Alda Seafood Holding (Alda Seafood) has its foundations in the European operations of Icelandic seafood company Samherji, which has operated a successful fishery in Iceland and Europe for decades. Alda was founded in the Netherlands in 2019, initially as the headquarters of Samherji in Europe.

All our vessels are currently docked as our crews celebrate the festive season with their loved ones. In the coming days, our processing facilities and offices will follow suit, taking time for a well-earned rest during the holidays.

Kirkella, a freezer trawler operated by our subsidiary UK Fisheries, is currently in dry dock at Damen Shiprepair in Amsterdam for her mandatory intermediate bottom survey.

The hull was thoroughly cleaned and repainted, everything underwater was inspected and repaired where needed, and all protective parts were renewed.

Kirkella is now in top condition and ready for another two-and-a-half years at sea. Fishing resumes early next year.

Last week, Coldstore Gdańsk, a subsidiary of Alda Seafood, had the privilege of hosting a distinguished delegation from the European Commission, the European Parliament, and the Government of Poland.

Berlin NC 107, an advanced trawler operated by our German subsidiary Deutsche Fischfang Union (DFFU), has completed its last fishing trip this year in the Barents Sea after landing in Tromsø today. On Wednesday, the vessel will head to East Greenland to catch Greenland halibut.
