Chocolate is my favorite. I’ve never imagined that I could use chocolate for decorations, but I discovered so many ways of using it. In time, the chocolate has told me almost all its secrets. It’s true, it’s more difficult to use it for decorating cakes because it’s fragile, but to me chocolate is chic, classy and it tells you so many stories. I’ve discovered that a black and white combination is

better than one thousand words, and also than one thousand colors. I’ve worked in television, for more than ten years, maybe that’s why I’m obsessed with images. I hope you can see that in my pictures. I can see the world only as a painting J. Plus, I graduated a faculty of letters, so I’m obsessed with books. And now, with cooking books. I like Gaston Lenotre and his amazing follower Pierre Herme. Actually, I love them, and I’m still discovering them. My passion for cooking has blossomed after I gave birth to my kids. Cookie, cookie, cookie, all day long. And so, cookie has become the center of our little universe. Our cookie grew bigger and bigger just as in fairy tales. I hope you’ll like my world. This is not a story about cakes, this is a story about life and passion.

Mai Pen Rai — “it’s okay”, “no worries”, “never mind” in Thai. Our second destination in Thailand. One of the hidden little paradises that welcomed us on our journey through Thailand, a journey that took us across the country by almost every means of transport imaginable. A tiny village of bungalows suspended above a secluded beach, embraced by jungle. A place so remote that it felt like we had reached not only the very end of Koh Phangan island, but the very end of the world. We had around lizards, little otters, frogs and some others I do not know. One evening, a snake quietly came to visit and made itself comfortable on one of the balconies. And the lizards… from a few tiny centimetres to almost two metres long. Nature here doesn’t simply surround you, it moves in with you.
I could tell you so much more about this place, but there is no time now, another destination is already waiting for us.
Yet I couldn’t leave without preserving these last few moments here, dressed in this beautiful hand made creation, from layers and layers of natural fabric, handcrafted right here on the island by local women. I am so happy to wear it!
Somehow, Mai Pen Rai feels like more than just the name of a place. It feels almost predestined for the way I try to live my life every day. Learning to let go, not to worry too much, and to move gently from “it’s okay” to “never mind.” 😇
I think I like that little transition more than I should.😁
