The Smoking Barrels provides its customers with an array or decorative and functional casks. From new Oak, Acacia, chestnut to reconditioned casks as well as a full cooperage service. Sherry casks / whiskey finishing. American Bourbon / beer conditioning. Full array or toasting charring available Fusion casks, logistic and warehouse storage available.

When size matters! 30 & 60 Ltr Brandy casks
These casks previously held brandy, leaving behind layers of rich dried fruit, raisin, caramel, warming spice and subtle oak sweetness.

Perfect for adventurous brewers, brandy cask ageing can bring depth and complexity to stouts, porters, barley w**es and strong ales, adding vinous fruit character, gentle oak tannins and a warming spirit influence.
A great opportunity whish does not arrise very oftern to experiment with cask ageing and develop your own unique flavour profile.

A Cask with Two Wh**ky Influences, back by populer demand.

Canadian malt bourbon finished casks offer a unique flavour profile compared with a traditional used bourbon barrel.
Originally first-fill American bourbon casks, the oak was first allowed to absorb the rich, sweet characteristics of bourbon developing layers of vanilla, caramel, toffee and toasted oak.

The casks were subsequently used to mature Canadian malt wh**ky, adding a second layer of malt, dried fruit, gentle spice and wh**ky character to the oak.
When these casks are used for barrel aged b**r, the result can be a complex combination of bourbon sweetness, mature oak and Canadian malt wh**ky character.

The combination of the two previous fills gives the cask a depth and complexity that is difficult to achieve with a standard bourbon barrel alone. The original bourbon influence provides the sweet, rich foundation, while the subsequent Canadian malt wh**ky maturation adds another layer of flavour and character.
