Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming Wessel Mol, General Manager of NL Andes in Peru, together with Henrik Laseur, Trade Officer at the Embassy of the Netherlands in Peru, to Colubris.

NL Andes, representing the Dutch Chamber of Commerce in Peru, and the Dutch Embassy play an important role in connecting Dutch companies and technologies with opportunities in the Peruvian market. During their visit to the Netherlands, Wessel and Henrik are meeting with several Dutch companies, like Colubris, to learn more about their technologies, expertise and potential applications in Peru. ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ช

It was a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, discuss developments in the Peruvian market and explore how Dutch technology can contribute to future industrial challenges.

Van der Lee Seafish in Urk, The Netherlands, recently took an important step towards future-proof wastewater treatment by installing a new DAF system from Colubris, including SmartDose. ๐Ÿค

The new system replaces a DAF installation that had been in operation for almost thirty years, reflecting a partnership with Colubris that goes back just as far. For Van der Lee Seafish, that long-standing relationship, combined with Colubrisโ€™ technical expertise and practical, no-nonsense approach, was an important reason for choosing Colubris again.

A key part of the new installation is the SmartDose. Based on real-time measurements, the system automatically determines the correct chemical dosing for the treatment process. This reduces manual checks, prevents unnecessary overdosing and gives operators greater control over system performance. โš™๏ธ

For Jan-Willem Woord, responsible for the water treatment system at Van der Lee Seafish, the difference is clear. 'Where finding the correct chemical ratios could previously take hours, SmartDose determines them significantly faster.'

The project shows the value of close technical collaboration. Van der Lee Seafish carried out part of the installation work in-house, while Colubris provided direct technical support and process expertise. Short communication lines help both teams respond quickly and continue optimizing the system together. With Van der Lee Seafish already exploring the possibilities for water reuse, the new installation also provides a strong foundation for the future. โ™ป๏ธ
