Brewer Wanted – Bådin Brewery

About Bådin Brewery
Bådin is an independent craft brewery based in Bodø, Northern Norway.
We brew a wide range of beers. From clean lagers and traditional styles to hazy IPAs, farmhouse ales, sours and barrel-aged beers. We enjoy experimenting and developing new beers, but quality and consistency always come first.
We are now looking for an experienced Brewer to join our small production team in Bodø.
The Job
As a Brewer, you will be involved in the entire production process and take responsibility for producing consistent, high-quality beer.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Wort production
- Fermentation management and cellar work
- Dry hopping, transfers and preparation for packaging
- Packaging and related production work
- Cleaning and sanitation (CIP)
- Monitoring fermentation and maintaining accurate production records
- Following and improving SOPs and quality-control procedures
- Sensory evaluation and general quality control
- Contributing to recipe development and improvements to existing beers
- Maintaining a clean, safe and well-organized brewery
- Working closely with the rest of our production team
As we are a relatively small brewery, flexibility is important. Everyone contributes where needed, and the position involves both independent responsibility and teamwork.
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone with:
- Minimum 2 years of professional brewing experience in a commercial brewery
- Good practical understanding of the complete brewing process
- Experience with fermentation and cellar operations
- Good understanding of brewery hygiene, CIP and quality control
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to work independently and take responsibility for your work
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A practical, hands-on approach to brewery work
- A genuine interest in beer, brewing and continuous improvement
Experience with packaging equipment, centrifugation and laboratory/quality-control work is an advantage.
Working at Bådin
You will become part of a small team where there is a short distance between an idea and actually brewing it.
We produce both established core beers and a constantly changing range of seasonal releases, collaborations and one-off beers. We work with breweries and suppliers from Norway and abroad, and we like combining creativity with solid production and quality standards.
Living in Bodø
Bodø is a small coastal city in Northern Norway, just north of the Arctic Circle.
If you like mountains, the ocean, hiking, skiing, fishing, the Midnight Sun and Northern Lights, Bodø is a pretty special place to live.
The city has a growing food and cultural scene, an international airport close to the city centre, and some of Norway's most spectacular nature right outside the door.
