🍷 Bruno Clair Savigny Les Beaune Les Jarrons 2018

🏰 Bruno Clair founded the domaine which bears his name in 1979. The domain at that time included plots in Marsannay and Fixin, the Les Jarrons vineyard in Savigny-les-Beaune.
🍇 100% Pinot Noir from Les Jarrons that is a Premier Cru climat of the Savigny-les-Beaune appellation in Burgundy. Unusually for the Cote de Beaune, Pinot Noir tends to be structured and relatively full bodied, displaying plentiful fruit characters alongside more earthy tones.

🎨 Bright and dark rubin to intense purple color.

👃🏼 Very elegant fragrance with cherry, strawberry and raspberry, earthy forest floor, mushroom, underbrush and smoke, leather with some hint of spices on the nose.

👄 Nicely developed from a charming and approachable vintage. Still incredibly freshness with a great fruit-driven palate. Delicious and resilient balanced acidity with well integrated tannins. Long structured finish with a somewhat sour berry finish.

🍷 Piaggia Poggio de’Colli Cabernet Franc Toscana 2017

🥂 Here I come across a distinctive Tuscan Cabernet Franc from the hills of Carmignano, crafted by the small, but highly respected estate Piaggia. Unlike many Tuscan reds dominated by Sangiovese, Poggio de’ Colli is a single-varietal Cabernet Franc, produced in relatively small quantities from one of the estate’s best vineyard sites.

🏡 The estate Piaggia was founded in the 1970s by Mauro Vannucci in the hills of Poggio a Caiano, near Florence. Initially the vineyard was farmed by others, but in the early 1990s the family began producing their own wines.

🍇 100% Cabernet Franc, sourced from a single vineyard with clay and galestro soils in the hills of Carmignano.

♻️ The estate follows sustainable farming and largely organic practices.

🗜Fermentation in wooden vats using indigenous yeasts, with extended maceration and manual punch-downs.

⏳ Aged for 15 months in French oak barriques, followed by at least 6 months bottle ageing before release.

🔬 Alcohol: 14.5 % vol., Acid: 5.1 g/l og Suggar: < 3.0 g/l.

🎨 Deep, intense ruby red with dark purple reflections,

👃🏼 Complex and expressive aromas of black cherry, blackberries and blackcurrant, layered with notes of vanilla, leather, liquorice and hints of oak and light smoke in background.

👄 Full-bodied yet refined with silky tannins and lively acidity. The palate shows ripe red and dark berry fruit, subtle herbal tones and a touch of spice and to***co. Structured and elegant with a long, balanced finish.

💶 Bought in our Vinmonopol to a cost of NOK 559,90, but sold out.

📦 Importer: Viva Vino

👍🏼 A distinctive Tuscan Cabernet Franc with impressive depth and elegance. To the cost of fivehundredandsixty Norwegian money, it offers excellent quality for the price compared with many international Cabernet Franc benchmarks, and is considered ahigh QPR.

🪟 Drinking window: 2022–2032, but can easily age 10–12 years under proper storage.

🗜 Tradisjonell Bordeaux-vinifikasjon. Gjæring i temperaturkontrollerte ståltanker.

⏳ Lagret i omtrent 12 måneder, delvis på franske eikefat.

🔬 Alkohol: 13,5 % vol., Syre: 3,4 g/l, Sukker: < 3,0 g/l

📦 Importør: Vitis Moestue AS

🍷 Ghislaine Barthod Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Cras 2014

🏡 Domaine Ghislaine Barthod is one of the most respected family estates in Chambolle-Musigny. Run by Ghislaine Barthod herself, the domaine is known for extremely low yields, meticulous vineyard work, and an uncompromising focus on terroir expression. Les Cras is among her most structured and characterful Premier Crus.

🍇 100% Pinot Noir from the Premier Cru vineyard Les Cras, located high on the slope north of the village, characterized by stony, limestone-rich soils.

♻️The domaine is not organically certified, but practices very limited chemical use, manual harvesting, and environmentally respectful vineyard management.

🗜 Hand-harvested with strict selection. Traditional vinification with partial destemming, spontaneous fermentation using indigenous yeasts, and gentle extraction.

⏳ Aged for approximately 18 months in French oak barrels, with around 30% new oak, typical for Premier Cru wines at the domaine.

🔬 Alcohol: 13.0% vol and Sugar: < 2 g/l

💨 Decanted for 1–2 hours prior to serving.

🎨 Clear ruby red with early brick nuances at the rim.

👃🏼 Elegant and complex aromas of red cherries, raspberries, dried roses, and violets, layered with limestone minerality, subtle spice, forest floor, and finely integrated oak.

👄 Silky and precise on the palate. Bright acidity balances ripe red fruit, while Les Cras’ signature structure provides tension and length. The finish is long, mineral-driven, and refined, with fine grained tannins.

💶 Bought at our VMP BU back in January 2019 at the price: NOK 890,00

👌🏼 A refined, terroir-driven Premier Cru from a top Chambolle-Musigny producer, combining finesse, structure, and aging potential. Well worth the price and with high QPR.

🪟 Drinking beautifully now, with further development expected through 2030–2034.

🍷 Cos d’Estournel Grand Cru Saint-Estèphe 2014

🎄A missing TN from our traditional family party at Christmas Day.

🍷 Here I opened my second magnum bottle from 2014 that still is a bit to young, but some development have been evolved since my first bottle 4 years ago. The wine is very impressive at this stage and especially for the intensity of its structure and the explosive dark fruits on the palate. Normally this wine is dark, brooding and tannic when young, developing complexity and intensity over time.

🏰 Cos d’Estournel is a legendary Deuxième Cru Classé (Second Growth) from the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, located in Saint-Estèphe on the Left Bank of Bordeaux. Founded in 1811 by Louis Gaspard d’Estournel, the estate is known for its exotic architecture and historically significant wines. In recent decades it has been under the ownership of Michel Reybier, with modern winemaking and aging techniques that elevate its quality.

🍇 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc

💨 Opened and decanted for 2 hours aeration.

🎨 Very deep ruby-red to dark purple color, almost opaque.

👃🏼Complex and beautiful aroma of crushed blackcurrant, blackberry and cassis character on the nose, anchored by elegant oak, cedar, spices and to***co with a hint of forest floor, graphite and aniseed in background.

👄 The wine has a bit more soften tannic at this stage since my first bottle, but not so intence as expected as they are very fine-grained which add precision and focus instead and seriously intense fruit and berry aromas and flavors. Extream powerfull and complex wine, full of energy that can stay in cellars for decades.

💶 Private import to the cost of NOK 2.275,- for this magnum bottle. Bought them in December 2018.

👍🏼 One of Bordeaux’s most prestigious Second Growths. 2014 is a powerful yet elegant Saint-Estèphe with classic Médoc structure, deep fruit and long ageing potential. I still have a couple of these Magnums and have stored them away. High QPR.

🍷 Elio Grasso Barolo Ginestra Casa Maté 2016

🥂 Picked up half a case of this outstanding Barolo from the acclaimed 2016 vintage when it was released in Norway in September 2020. Elio Grasso is among the top producers in the region.

🏡 Founded in 1978 after Elio Grasso returned from a banking career in Turin, the estate is based in Monforte d’Alba. Today, Elio and his son Gianluca farm around 14 hectares. Casa Maté from the Ginestra cru is one of their most historic and representative sites.

🍇 100% Nebbiolo from the Ginestra cru, about 300–350m a.s.l., south-facing, on calcareous-clay soils.

🗜 Hand-harvested in October. Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel with daily rimontaggi, followed by malolactic fermentation.

⏳ Aged 30+ months in large Slavonian oak, then 8–10 months in bottle before commercial release.

🎨 Deep red to garnet in color.

👃🏼 Crushed raspberries, red and wild berries, roses, dried flowers, herbs, leather, forest floor, with subtle spice and balsamic notes.

👄 Full-bodied and powerful, with racy tannins and a lovely structure.
Flavors of black cherry and plum, balsamic notes with depth and volume. A firm tannic backbone, balanced acidity, and a gorgeous textured mouthfeel with a long finish.

🇮🇹 Happy Sangiovese Friday 🇮🇹

🥂 Some couple of bottles I bought back in February 2022 at Vinmonopolet and I had no idea then how insane the 2016 Brunellos would become historically. Today this is an “Architectural Sangiovese” and a bottle I’m almost scared to open too early.

🏡 Le Chiuse is a tiny, historic family estate connected to the original Biondi-Santi lineage. North side of Montalcino, in the Montosoli adjacency — one of the most prized exposures in the entire region. Cult-level, minimal intervention, classic botti aging.

🍇 100% Sangiovese Grosso from estate vines north Montalcino, about 300m asl, with galestro and limestone soils.

♻️ Organically farmed and no herbicides. No use of synthetic chemical fertilizers. Le Chiuse is certified organic.

🗜 Spontaneous fermentation with native yeast in cement tanks.

⏳ Aging for 36 months in 30 hl Slavonian oak (‘Botti Grandi’) and thereafter 12 months bottle before release.

🔬 Alcohol: 14.0 % vol., Acidity: approx 6.0 g/l, Sugar: 0.9 g/l

🎨 Semi-transparent ruby red color with garnet rim.

👃🏼 Aroma of sour cherry, dried roses, orange zest and dried herbs on the nose. Some hints of anise, graphite, leather glove and mineral dust in the background.

👄 Fabulous entry of laser red fruit with high tension, pure and linear on the palate. Tannins is super fine and more like surgical presis. Crystal structural clarity, architectural build with zero sweetness and a long diamond tension. Mouthwatering finish is very long with salty mineral aftertaste.

💶 Available in our VMP BU with itemnumber: 13308501 and to a cost of NOK 749,90.

📦 Importer: Vinarius AS

👍🏼 This Brunello was recommended as No 2 on WinEnthusiast liste over 100 wine to store away and rated with 100 points. This Brunello is more in direction for Burgundy people. Soft, juicy and mouthwatering, asking for a new sip immediately. Well worth the price of sevenhundredandfifty ‘spenn’ and with great QPR. Nest bottle 2-3 year time.

🪟 🪟 Drinking window: 2025–2042 and most optimal from 2028–2036). This is already coherent, but with futher cellaring will develop more tertiary aromas and will pay off forward.

👍🏼 This is one of those Bordeaux buys that I made before the market fully woke up to how epic 2015 Left Bank actually was. I bought a full case, cellared it, and now I have a piece of Margaux history in my glass.

🏡 Château Brane-Cantenac is a 2ème Grand Cru Classé from the original 1855 classification. Located in the heart of Margaux, planted on deep gravel soils that give archetypal Margaux elegance and perfume. The estate is known for producing wines of finesse, detail and silk tannins.

⏳ Ageing in barrels and 40% new oak for this Pinot-Noir Grand Cru.

🔬 Alcohol: approx. 13.5 % vol., Acid: 4.2 g/l and Sugar: < 3.0 g/l

🎨 Rich and clear ruby red tone with a deep purple robe.

👃🏼 Notes of blueberry, currant, violet, mushroom, forestfloor and autumn leave, evolving into sweet spices and liquorice on the nose.

👄 Opulent and structured yet a sensual medium- to full-bodied wine with concentration of dark and blue fruit, integrated fine silky tannins, elegant and complex finish with a distinct mineral driven aftertaste.

🥂 Enric Soler Nun Vinya dels Taus 2019

🎯 92/💯 pts and 4.4 ⭐️

👍🏼 Here I’ve opened a bottle from Enric Soler’s Nun Vinya dels Taus, made from the rather distinctive Xarel·lo grape.

🏡 Enric Soler runs the estate Cal Raspallet Viticultors in Font-Rubí, Penedès, Catalonia. The winery is a small family-owned property, and the vineyard Vinya dels Taus was planted in 1945 by Soler’s grandfather. It covers just about 0.8 hectares, with old vines of low yield but remarkable complexity.

🍇 100% Xarel·lo — a Spanish white grape most commonly used in Cava production, known for bringing freshness, body, and lively acidity.

♻️ Produced according to biodynamic and organic principles. Grapes are hand-harvested from small yields, with minimal intervention in the cellar.

🗜 Fermented spontaneously in nine 300L French oak barrels. 50% new and 50% one-year-old.

⏳ Aged for around eight months, unfiltered and with very gentle handling. Only about 3,220 bottles and 103 magnums were produced in 2019.

🔬 Alcohol: 12.5% vol. | Acidity: 6.7 g/l | Residual sugar: < 3.0 g/l

🎨 Clear, light to medium golden colour with straw-yellow reflections.

👃🏼 Initially a bit restrained on the nose, but it opens beautifully with air, revealing aromas of white fruits such as pear and apple, alongside white flowers, citrus zest, lime, and lemon peel. Subtle undertones of honey, vanilla, and fine oak appear in the background.

👄 Clean on the entry with bright acidity, fine structure, and lovely texture. The oak is well integrated and never overpowering. The fruit is ripe and balanced, with a gentle balsamic note and elegant touch of wood. Complex, mineral-driven, and persistent — finishing long with a saline, chalky minerality.

💶 Available through Vinmonopolet BU selection, item no. 12344601 – NOK 579.00

📦 Importer: Garage d’Or AS

👍🏼 A wine of both elegance and strength — ‘a serious Spanish white’ that will age gracefully, yet already delivers great pleasure today. Considering its price, this bottle offers genuine quality for money.
