《Guabao × NGI》— Smaken av Taiwan i Oslo
La oss bygge fellesskap gjennom mat – én bao om gangen.
Denne høsten holdt vi en liten culinary team-building for NGI —
vi laget bao sammen, servert med deres egenlaget golden kimchi.
For en ettermiddag luktet hele rommet som Taipei.
Og plutselig kom minnene tilbake — havet, gatehjørnene, nattmarkedene, vennene.
Mat husker det vi selv kan glemme.
Og når vi lager mat sammen, kommer vi nærmere hverandre.⠀

Five years ago, it all started with a simple idea:
to share the taste of Taiwan on the streets of Oslo.
We steamed our very first bao at Blå Søndagsmarked —
the air was cool, but the scent of pork belly and spices filled the market.

Soon, we moved from market stalls to bar pop-ups,
and every smile, every “wow” at the first bite,
became part of our journey.
Together, we’ve built so many memories,
each steaming basket carrying stories of home and friendship.

💛 None of this would have been possible without you.
Thank you for stopping by, cheering us on,
and making this dream come alive.

The night felt just like a real night market in Oslo — from the high schooler yelling “dritdeilig” on TikTok, to the concert couple so happy it wasn’t frozen pizza. 💛

Every first Friday of the month, I bring my Guabao to Kampen Kaffe & Bar — but what I really take home each time are the smiles, stories, and spontaneous moments shared around the table.
Each pop-up, I meet new friends with new stories. I never get tired of seeing that first bite — the curious look, followed by a grin (and sometimes a happy dance). And the warm words you share after — they truly keep me going on this delicious little journey.
Kampen Kaffe & Bar is a cozy corner of Oslo, perfect for catching up with a friend or winding down with colleagues. Come by if you’re nearby — the bao will be warm, and the vibe always welcoming 🌿

🎉 2024 – A Year of Bao, Adventures & Stories! 🎉
What a year it has been! Over 15 pop-ups and 10 events across amazing spots— , , , , —bringing bao from Oslo’s east side to Bislett and beyond. Thanks for all the supports .
From weddings to business gatherings, we kept the steam rising and the flavors flowing.

But more than just food, it’s the people, the stories, and the connections that make every event special. Every time someone shares their Taiwan adventures, first dates, or how our bao nights have become a monthly tradition with friends, I feel incredibly grateful. It reminds me that food isn’t just about taste—it’s about bringing people together, creating memories, and building a little pocket of warmth in this cold Nordic world.
This year, our journey took us even further:

🌏 Serbia & Vietnam – exploring, sharing, and learning from different food cultures.


🍲 Bali & Taiwan – leveling up our skills, from Southern cuisine at Four Seasons Bali to mastering vegan ramen in Taiwan.


✨ And the best part? We’re always open to new collaborations and ideas! As long as it brings smiles to people’s faces, we’re here to create a little magic—together.
