Some places I ate in Verona 😊
🌻 Caffè Dell' Ammiraglio (1-5) - an oasis in the middle of a busy city. Mostly locals, and the odd outsider like me that stumble upon them and disturb their peace 😅 Be aware that around lunch time most outside seats are reserved, so it's safer to go early (they're open 8-14). The owner calls Iceland his second home 🤗 🇮🇸
🌻 (5-8) - fresh pasta made to order. You can order a mix of all their flavours, so you can find your favourite(s) among all of them. My absolute favourite was the Peperonchino (chilli, garlic & oil), and I wish I could have tried the Pistachio & Limone, the lady at the shop said those were her favourites.
🌻 (9-10) - a random, quite ordinary bar close to where I lived. All outside tables were full, so the stairs it was 😊
🌻 (10-11) - ever the night person, I appreciate a place that is open 22 - 02 (04 in the weekends). Warm, fresh Krapfen (similar to our Berlinerbolle), quite typical of northern Italy. They also have a savoury version, I tried the one with mozzarella & tomato.
🌻 (12) - crispy and delicious Pizza Al Taglio with a lot of different toppings to choose from.
🌻 .gogo (13-14) - their affogato with cream was good, but the real treat is the Delizia Mediterrania! Roasted almonds with lemon white chocolate 🤤.
🌻 Bar La Voglia Bim Bum Bam Verona (15-18) - also a neighbourhood cafe with nice staff and an easy meal after traveling the whole day waiting for check-in.
🌻 (19) - not a place to eat, but an honourable mention to this goldsmith for fixing both my broken bracelets for €20 in 20 minutes on a walk-in 🙌
