Grünerløkka Street Food Weekend came to a close yesterday.

We would like to say a big thank you to all our guests and vendors and we look forward to seeing you again in the future. In the meantime feel free to post any pictures or comments and tell us what you loved about the weekend.

Today is the final day of our first ever Grünerløkka Street Food Weekend.
Things should be in full swing by 12 noon with all stalls up and ready to fill you stomach on an relaxed Sunday.
In the mean time tell us what your favourite dish has been over the weekend.

Today is the day. The first ever Grünerløkka Street Food Weekend is starting this afternoon!!!!

We will be up and running by 1700 and running through the evening and continuing through to Sunday evening.

Introducing: The Nighthawk Diner.

The Nighthawk Diner is situated on corner of Seilduksgata and Thorvald Meyes gate and is known for it's steamed up windows, pancakes served fresh from the grill, endless coffee and excellent atmosphere.

The Nighthawk Diner has become a place to which many people call themselves regulars and with good reason. With their organic beef burgers and famous milkshakes people often find it impossible not to return before too long.

This weekend, along with hosting Grünerløkka Street Food Weekend, they will be in amongst the crowds and stalls with their own selection of diner influenced offerings.

Introducing: Smelteverket

Smelteverket is normally found in the basement of Mathallen, Grünerløkka. You may know them as the place to go if you are looking for hearty soul food and lots of music where heart and soul is at the forefront of everything they do. Over the summer the showed up at Øyafestivalen feeding festival goers with the best it has to offer.

This weekend they will be joining us at the street food festival on Thorvald Meyes Gate and promise to serve up food that pays homage to the american deep south with the added individual touches they are known for.

Introducing: Grünerløkka Brygghus.

Grünerløkka Brygghus is located right in the heart of our street food weekend and at the heart of Grünerløkka. They will be offering a selection of their gastropub and brewery inspired dishes while at the same time offering drinks that can be paired with many of the dishes we have on offer throughout the festival.

Did we mention that you will get a sneak peak into next weekend's events when Grünerløkka Brygghuss hosts it's own Mikrobryggfestival at their brewery on 29-30 August?

2 days to go until the first ever Grünerløkka Street Food Festival begins.

We will be kicking things off on Friday afternoon around 1700 (5pm) and running into the evening.
On Saturday everything will be up and running from around 12 noon and again going through into the evening.
Sunday will begin from around 1100 and we will be bringing the weekend to a close late in the afternoon/ in the evening.

More confirmations of vendors to come.

Introducing: Vin og Grønt

Vin og Grønt work with mostly vegetarian and vegan food from local resources and ingredients. They believe in conscious street food with a clear focus on knowing where their ingredients are sourced.

They are looking to serve up mouth watering dishes that have an italian inventiveness which we have been promised are like no other that you will find anywhere else.

Of course you will find them on Thorvald Meyes Gate this coming weekend.
