With its intertwining track, unique flying position, and the incredible setting of Rookburgh, this Vekoma Flying Coaster is unlike anything else in Europe. Even in silhouette, many of you recognized its distinctive profile!

🎢💜 Project Purple finally has an official name!

So, Bakunawa is the official name of TCFKAPJ (The Coaster Formerly Known As Project Purple). 😄

The name Bakunawa comes from Philippine folklore, where Bakunawa is a mythical moon-eating dragon (or sea serpent) believed to be responsible for eclipses. A pretty fitting name for this coaster.

That said... we have a feeling most people will still end up calling it "the purple one." 😉

Six Flags' newest one-trick pony is already dividing opinions. It seems this is going to be one of those coasters you'll either absolutely love or absolutely hate.
