"Not every guest checks in at reception.."

Recently, one of our cameras recorded a wild leopard passing through the property during the night. As a farmstay bordering the buffer zone of Chitwan National Park, moments like these remind us that we share this landscape with remarkable wildlife.

As soon as the sighting was confirmed, we informed our neighbours and the local community so everyone could remain aware and take appropriate precautions. We believe that conservation goes hand in hand with responsibility, communication, and respect for both people and wildlife.

Sightings like this are uncommon and typically occur at night, while guests remain in managed and secure areas. We are privileged to be part of an ecosystem where wildlife still thrives, and we remain committed to promoting safe and responsible coexistence.

A rare nighttime visitor at Himalchuli! 🌿 The Small Indian Civet (Viverricula indica) सानो निरबिरालो is one of Chitwan's elusive nocturnal mammals. Its presence is a sign of a healthy ecosystem, where it naturally controls pests and helps regenerate forests by dispersing seeds.
