ईन्द्रजात्रा, जसलाई “येन्या” पनि भनिन्छ, नेपालको सबैभन्दा ठूलो जात्रा मध्य एक हो । यो भाद्र महिनामा पर्छ र आठ दिनसम्म मनाईन्छ। यो पवित्र पर्व राम्रो उत्पादनको लागि ईन्द्र र दागिनीलाई धन्यवाद दिन र गत वर्ष दिवंगत भएका प्रियजनहरूको सम्झनामा मनाइन्छ। ईन्द्र भगवानलाई वर्षाको लागि धन्यवाद दिन र दुष्टको नाश गर्ने भैरव भगवानको आराधनाको लागि पनि यो पर्व मनाईन्छ।
Indra Jatra, also called Yenya, is Nepal's largest street festival, celebrated for eight days during the Nepali month of Bhadra. This sacred festival is held to express gratitude to Indra and Dagini for a prosperous harvest and to honor those who passed away in the previous year. It is also believed that the festival pays homage to Lord Indra for rain and includes the worship of Bhairab, the deity known for vanquishing evil.
