The business is based in Godavari and is also developing small aquaponic kit systems and will soon be opening its doors for training and tours. HOPE Nepal Bioponics is an Agri-business that demonstrates integrated farming techniques and sustainable technologies where we are largely using a farming technology called Aquaponics which combines Aquaculture and Hydroponics. At HOPE Nepal our products a
re 100% organically grown as any pesticides used would kill the fish which are an integral part of the system. We also wash all our products hygienically using ozonated water to kill any harmful bacteria (which also helps to extend the shelf life of our products). Our signature product is called "No fuss lettuce" which is a mixed loose leaf salad, but we also produce Kale, Spinach, Chard, Rocket, Sorrel, Basil, Watercress, Celery, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, various Peppers, Strawberries a variety of Herbs, Mints, etc. are all grown in the aquaponic systems using Trout, Tilapia and Carp. Numerous crops are also grown organically in the soil including Beetroot, Carrots, Beans, Blackberries and Raspberries, as well as fruit trees and vine crops. Our product are mostly sold at Piano B, Farmer's Mart, Mustang Mini Mart, Day to Day store, Sumi Mart and Sky Park Restaurant, Zest Cafe as well as the Le Sherpa Market in Lazimpat and Labim Bazar at Pulchowk every Saturday morning. Tours of our facility can be arranged for larger groups by appointment and once our training hall is opened we hope to conduct regular tours every Tuesday on a bookings basis.
