Coal Creek Gardens A family run orchard selling a wide variety of family favourite fruits for everyone to enjoy!

We sell a wide range of Central Otago fruit (Roxburgh) through out the summer and Autumn seasons . We make our fruit available through our road side stall, the Gore farmers Markets and on our website (https://www.coalcreekgardens.co.nz) for nationwide delivery. We only sell fruit in these areas to ensure the best quality of fruit, rather than export the best overseas! Our list of fruits in order of availablity are:

-Raspberries
-Apricots
-Boysenberries
-Plums
-Nectarines
-Greengages
-Pears
-Walnuts

With a solid frost this morning it is going to be a slow start to get into the pruning. It's almost lunchtime and it is still white đŸ¥¶
Instead I have a last crate each of pears, quince and feijoa to process, so here comes some Taste of Autumn jam, Pear & Walnut paste, Quince paste & jelly + Feijoa BBQ sauce.

I just thought I would bring a smile to peoples faces and share my fail of the day.
It is one way to stop the days pruning.
Obviously a sign that it was time to head inside and get the fire going.
Also to send the cat, dog and Jeremy out for more rabbit control.
Now I just have to wait until Bevin gets home to assist with the retrieval đŸ¤£đŸ¤£

Now I also have to have a proud Mum moment.
Both my boys have made the South of the South Area Schools squad for going to the National Area Schools Sports Tournament in Whangarei at the end of the term.
William made the football team and Jeremy made the football, basketball and volleyball teams.
So the fundraising has begun.
Today they are selling cheese rolls, pumpkin soup and apple crumbles at the Teviot Valley Market in Roxburgh.

Today you will find me at the new Teviot Valley monthly market, at the Roxburgh Union church hall (opposite the school).

Gore Fruit Stall, Saturday 11 April (tomorrow).
This will be our last fruit stall for the season and I have made it back in time. Granted Bevin has done a sterling job keeping you supplied with our fruit while I was away.
So come on down it, promises to be full of laughs as the 2 of us will be working together.

Well it appears Autumn is here. Dark and chilly start to the day but warming in sunshine.
Parking is a bit scarce today at our Gore Fruit Stall, as the Scottish Highland Dancing competitions are being held at the St Andrews parish hall.
It is lovely having the sound of bagpipes in the background.

For those of you that are fond of our Stella cherries, and missing that taste of early summer, check out the Jazzy Jerry ice cream by Pattis & Cream in Dunedin.
It has been made using our gorgeous cherries and is sooo delicious. Hard to stop at one spoon/bowl full đŸ˜†
