The vines are bare, pruning is underway, and the sheep have taken up residence between the rows. It's a quieter season in the vineyard, but one we love.

And while Pinot Noir is a year-round favourite, there's something about a glass shared beside the fire that makes winter feel complete.

The end of a very difficult, cold, wet, windy Vintage 2026.

All jobs done ready to relax. Our Cellar Door will be closed. We will use the winter months for visiting family and friends, before pruning starts.

Feel free to call in for bottle sales. Text me to make sure we are home.

With March finally providing some nice evenings, we made the most of daylight saving.

This Easter weekend we will be closed on Good Friday, open on Saturday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.

April means harvest. From now on the Cellar Door won’t be open every day. We are sampling grapes to determine harvest dates. On those days we will be closed. Ring us if you plan a visit.

Here are some Tasting Notes 👇🏼

🍷Our Pinot Noir is one of the most affordable in the region. A fresh and balanced palate, with notes of sweet dark fruit. The french oak aging brings texture and length to the wine.

🥂Méthode Traditionnelle - Made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes, our crisp and balanced Méthode Traditionnelle sparkling wine has aromas of green apple, brioche and lime.

🌹Our Pinot Noir Rosé - Strawberry, rhubarb, watermelon and some minerality. Dry with a smooth finish.

🍷Chardonnay - Smooth and silky, with a juicy acidity and a reflection of the aromas. This wine has an incredible mouthfeel and is a firm favourite!

As usual we will be open 11am-4pm most days until Easter Weekend.

After Easter Weekend we will be out in the vines taking care of harvest.

Netting all done. Not without incident though. The extreme winds we have seen this season played havoc on the nets. A whirlwind taking out four nets.

All done now. Holes and rips fixed. Just🤞that the rabbits don’t chew new holes and Guuske doesn’t enlarge them in the pursuit of the rabbits.

As a reminder, we will be closed the first week of March for family commitments.
