You know how there's always a constant something in your life?
The constant here for the last 10years at Alpine View has always been LambLamb living her best life in one of our 'calf' paddocks. Coming up for a cheeky scratch over the fence or hiding in her hedge, always busy keeping an eye on the comings and going from the yard and sheds and standing at the fenceline watching Jess wash her dishes.
So constant infact we have struggled this evening to find a photo of her without charging one of my many old phones.
LambLamb was never impressed when it came time to sharing HER paddock with calves in spring and you could always see her letting out a deep sigh when they were shifted on and she got her space back.
She also turned her nose up every Oct/Nov when the Christmas Lambs turned up, but after 12hours she was back to being part of the flock but also letting out the sigh again when they too got moved on and she got to stay in HER paddock.
There was many an adventure of trying to get LambLamb into the calf trailer so she could go for her booking with the shearer - but she always came back looking so pretty. I hear she had an appointment booked for next week too.
Tonight it was discovered the LambLamb had peacefully passed away.
So LambLamb in your honour of being an outstanding gaurd sheep - your paddock will now and forever be named LambLambs Paddock.
