💥Emergencies!💥
Yes, unfortunately they happen even on The Holidays 🥺
But don't fear❗ Beyond Blue NZ to the rescue! We are open for all emergencies.
So what counts as an emergency?
1) Leaking pump. Is water spewing out your pump? Jip! That's an emergency 👍
2) Sewage alarm screaming at you? If your family is screaming at you we are the wrong number 😊 but if your sewage alarm is screaming at you we are the right number 👍
3) No water. 😰
If you didn't pay your bill and are on town supply, well, am, so sorry 😔, but if you have a pump and you are opening your trusted tap for a well deserved shower and there is no water coming out, then we have your back! Definitely give us a call. Everyone needs water in this wonderful Season 👍
4)Bore pump failure.
No water coming out your bore? Definitely an emergency 👍
5)Is sewage running down your driveway? Definitely an emergency 👍 No one needs that while your in-laws watch your every move. ☺️

Which one do you have?
Hard and soft water? Since when does water have a punch ratio? Isn’t water just water?
Just because water looks and smells clear doesn’t mean it is the best quality it can be. Hard water means high quantities of calcium and magnesium while soft water means large amounts of sodium or salt.
Water softeners exchange the calcium and magnesium ions in hard water for sodium ions, which don’t create scale the way calcium and magnesium ions do. This extends the lifespan of water heaters, washing machines, dishwashers, coffeemakers, humidifiers and household plumbing systems by as much as 30% and is much better for the skin and digestive system of your family.
Signs of hard water include:
Feeling a film on your hands after washing them. This is caused by the soap reacting with calcium to form soap scum. You may need to rinse your hands longer if the water is hard.
Spots. These can appear on glasses and silverware coming out of the dishwasher. These are usually deposits of calcium carbonate.
Mineral stains. These show up on clothes when they come out of the washing machine. Clothes can wear out faster because of the harshness of hard water.
Less water pressure in your home. Mineral deposits can form in the pipes, essentially shrinking the interior diameter of the pipes and reducing water flow.
Signs of soft water include:
A healthy lather when washing clothes, dishes, and even your hands and body.
Clothes that are cleaner, with no mineral stains and less wear-and-tear damage.
Healthy water pressure in your home.
A slight sodium taste in drinking water, though in many cases a difference in taste is imperceptible.
