This means we only manufacture food products where the integrity of their nutritional value can be maintained throughout the manufacturing process, and the manufacturing process has minimal or no negative impact on our environment.

When we talk about organics, wholefood, and the future, we always come back to Granny Jean, our Miso Queen.

Back in the 1980s, Jean began crafting beautiful, traditional wholefood miso, well before most people had even heard of it. At 70, she was on her own personal health journey — quietly inspiring everyone around her in her own unique way.
But more than anything, she taught us something simple:

Welcome to the world of TONZU Tempeh — our naturally fermented, activated wholefood. Made from organic whole soybeans, soaked, cooked and fermented for over 30 hours in our live culturing rooms, it develops a rich flavour and firm, satisfying texture.

Tempeh is a traditional Indonesian food with hundreds of years of history. Unlike tofu, which is made from soy milk, tempeh uses the whole bean — bringing all its natural goodness with it.

At TONZU, we’re passionate about whole organic food — and for good reason.
When it comes to our children, we don’t cut corners. We want the best for them, now and into the future. We see food the same way. The choices we make today shape the world they’ll grow up in — the health of our bodies, and the health of the planet we all share.

Certified organic means food produced without synthetic chemicals or shortcuts. Wholefood means keeping things as close to their natural state as possible.
