THE 3 FISHES
Greetings Waiheke and to all our valued customers.
As some of you may recall we entered the UK National Fish and Chip Awards 2026 and although we didn't progress too far we have decided to give it another crack this year (2027) in the category of International Fish & Chip Shop.
The International Fish and Chip Operator of the Year award recognises businesses outside the UK that are delivering exceptional fish and chips while proudly promoting the tradition of Britain’s iconic dish around the world.
This category celebrates operators that consistently demonstrate excellence in food quality, customer experience, and business performance, while overcoming the unique challenges of operating in an international market. Judges will be looking for businesses that combine authenticity, innovation, and high operational standards, while successfully promoting fish and chips within their local community.
The winner will be recognised as a global ambassador for the fish and chip industry, setting the benchmark for excellence and showcasing the very best of British fish and chips on the international stage.
Our award submission needs to be submitted by early October so we are starting to bring this to life to hopefully submit, and who knows fingers crossed 🤞 we might make it to the finals.
Naturally we would love to see a NZ National Fish and Chip Awards scheme as we kin of think it is a bit of a kiwi institution.
