s is where AwaRua Organics calls home. AwaRua Organics are passionate about our animals and their welfare. We want them to lead happy, healthy lives naturally and we only work with farmers who feel the same way. As people of the land, our farmers believe that only the healthiest cows will produce the very best quality milk in the world. AwaRua Organics milk. Our cows have the space to graze and roam comfortably. Only 2 cows per hectare (10,000m2) are allowed on the farm. Our cows wander the paddocks at least 85% of the year, only coming into a nice, dry barn during extreme weather conditions. Our cows are grass fed all year around, and even when they’re in the barn, we bring the grass to them. Their feed is free from GMOs, Growth Hormones, pesticides, herbicides and synthetic fertilisers. All this goodness flows into the AwaRua products we produce for you and your family. It takes 2 years to transition to organic and it’s not easy but we have seen the benefits it provides to our animals and their environment. Our certified organic farming techniques nurture the ecosystem and encourage sustainable productivity on the land we are caretaking. Our farmers have seen the return of higher levels of earthworms on their farms, increased clover and lower veterinary bills from healthier animals. Our practices are safer for our farmers and our cows, and we believe they offer a better legacy for future generations. We believe in doing the right thing, farming the right way, the AwaRua way.
