We learnt what worms like to eat and some fun facts - they have FIVE hearts and NO teeth!

As we are back to open in level 3, we received many worms orders this week. It seems like now most of the people like their kitchen food waste to make good compost for their garden.

In response to the Government's announcement to combat COVID-19,

From Tuesday 28 April, Wormsrus will start trading again accepting online orders, under level 3 restrictions.For orders placed online to be picked up from our Wiri Site“.

We will only accept pre-paid orders”A Pick up time will be sent to you via a text notification along with proof of payment.

Products will be left at the front reception along with a receipt of purchase- all products will be sanitised prior to collection

Starting a WormsRus worm farm

Here are my two avocado trees planted 6 years ago.
The soil was heavy clay below 20cm depth, however I dug a 60cm wide x 70cm depth hole. Each tree was planted with top soil with approx 30 litres of compost and 5 litres of WormsRus worm castings. Each year I add a wheel barrow of compost / mulch under each tree to feed the soil microbes and root development. The trees are approx 5 - 6 metres high and have at least 200 fruit.
