A favourite that has been missed, the new vintage of Mt Difficulty Bannockburn Chenin Blanc 2025 has arrived.

Vibrant, elegant and beautifully textural, the 2025 vintage opens with lifted aromas of zesty yuzu and lime peel, layered with meadow honey and beeswax. Bright citrus fruit flows into a silky, generous mid-palate, finishing with a gentle touch of sweetness.

Taste the new vintage at our cellar door in Bannockburn, or secure your bottles online at www.foleycellars.co.nz

A quick winter roundup from our viticulturist Criag.

It’s been a relatively dry winter up until this last week, with 60–80mm of much needed rain falling across the region. A welcome top-up for the soils as we head towards Spring. It’s certainly been cold, with a couple of mornings reaching -9°C — enough to keep the bugs at bay!
Pruning is now complete, and we’re lifting irrigation lines up off the ground in preparation for our move towards non-herbicide w**d control.
As part of our regenerative viticulture approach, we’re reducing our reliance on herbicides and putting greater focus on soil health.
We’ve also sown seed for a range of cover crops, including radish, clovers and a mix of beneficial plants. These will help break up soil compaction, fix nitrogen, attract beneficial insects and, importantly, add organic matter back into the soil.
Small changes in the vineyard, but important steps towards building healthier soils and a more resilient ecosystem.

Bring on Spring!

Today we're celebrating the grape that put Bannockburn on the map. Our Mt Difficulty Bannockburn Pinot Noir is a reflection of this remarkable place. Sun-soaked days, cool nights, ancient soils and the people who know them best.

Generous and expressive, the Bannockburn Pinot Noir reveals aromas of red and black cherry woven with Szechuan pepper, cardamom and star anise. A rich and inviting palate of sweet cherry, blueberry and savoury earth is beautifully framed by baking spice, fine-grained French oak and vibrant acidity, creating a w**e of balance, depth and elegance.

Happy International Pinot Noir Day.
Cheers!
