As Chief Operating Officer and Senior Winemaker, James brings experience, perspective and a strong understanding of Hunter’s heritage, balancing the evolution of our wines with the classic Marlborough styles Hunter’s is known for.

The winner of our Mother’s Day giveaway with joined James along with her nearest and dearest for a special Hunter’s tasting last weekend. Guests were guided through a curated selection of Hunter’s wines, enjoyed alongside a charcuterie board from while browsing Naveya & Sloane’s collection with a glass of bubbles in hand.

Recently tasted by for Hunter’s Pinot Noir 2024 was awarded 92 points.

Described as “ripe, fresh and enticing,” with notes of dark plum, black raspberry, red berries, vanilla and dried spice, it was recognised as a youthful, balanced and well-made Marlborough Pinot Noir.
