🌏✨ MULTICULTURAL DAY @ MARLBOROUGH BOYS COLLEGE
One VERY proud Auntie here getting the opportunity to introduce and share a little piece of our culture through KAI !
The best part was watching Tama mā trying and liking our Kawakawa Jelly, Piripiri Plum Chutney, Horopito Feijoa Chutney and Kamokamo Pickle and of course getting to hang out with some of our Te Pā Wānanga o Ōmaka Marae Tama! ❤️They might be getting all big and grown now, but in my eyes they’ll always be our little Tama! 🥹❤️ Watching them grow, represent their culture and stand proudly in who they are makes this Auntie’s heart so full.
So proud to see our rangatahi sharing, connecting and celebrating the many cultures that make our community so special. 🌿🌏

He tāonga nei te kūmara 🍠

Our whānau learnt the whakapapa of the kūmara, how to plant and care for the tipu and how long they take to grow.

We had an awesome hauhake, revealing some beautiful purple kūmara and Reka Rawa varieties!
