This is what legend looks like.

This years amazing group of locals, volunteering their time to forage seasonal gorse flowers for our Roots Gin.

All ages, walks of life and ethnicities.

Thank you again to everyone past and present who has joined us each year in support of our little gin brand.

Who knew picking small aromatic flowers from thorny bushes could be so much fun!

Another fantastic gorse flower foraging day out with friends.

This year we were lucky enough to be invited to the beautiful Tracy Johnston vineyard & wetland in the upper Wairau Valley, Marlborough.

Working in a wetland, surrounded by vines and the Richmond Ranges, our local band of volunteers braved thorny bushes in order to pick small, aromatic yellow flowers that are a key ingredient in our Roots Gin.

Huge thanks to everyone who gave their time to assist us this year and especially Tracey and Kevin for access to their little piece of rural paradise.

The tasting room, located at our Marlborough distillery is currently closed while we undergo refurbishment.

We will be moving out of our previous building and into a section of our bottling warehouse. Same distillery location yet in a more accessible warehouse next to the main The Vines Village carpark.

Opening Summer 2026.

In the meantime, bottle sales, tastings and refills can be found next-door at Cheese & Cheers.

Stunning Glencairn Crystal Studio trophies received for 'Distillery of the Year' at the Spirits Guide Awards in the UK for the highest weighted average across all of our entered spirits as well as 'Best in Australasia' for our signature Roots Marlborough Dry Gin.

Also great for holding open doors and cracking coconuts.

Have you tried our 14% low alcohol gin alternative?

Distilled traditionally with gin botanicals yet incorporating two different forms of cold vacuum distillation to capture and concentrate botancals profiles in water molecules.

We believe you need to retain some alcohol in order to capture the clean and bright gin profile that 0% products aren't able to deliver.

Mixes into a 2% G&T at standard serve.

Very excited to receive a new Gold Medal and 95/100 at the hugely influential International W**e & Spirit Competition - IWSC.

This new Gold Medal represents a milestone for our signature Roots Marlborough Dry Gin, achieving her 10th Gold Medal in only 7 years (as well as two Trophies).

In an industry that is seemingly spilling over with competitions and different awards, the IWSC stands above the majority with thousands of entrants from more than 20 countries and some of the most respected judges in the world.

Very proud of our little gin brand from rural Marlborough. Made entirely on estate, by our own hands.
