Very excited to receive a new Gold Medal and 95/100 at the hugely influential International Wine & Spirit Competition - IWSC.

This new Gold Medal represents a milestone for our signature Roots Marlborough Dry Gin, achieving her 10th Gold Medal in only 7 years (as well as two Trophies).

In an industry that is seemingly spilling over with competitions and different awards, the IWSC stands above the majority with thousands of entrants from more than 20 countries and some of the most respected judges in the world.

Very proud of our little gin brand from rural Marlborough. Made entirely on estate, by our own hands.

Very proud of our team for being awarded DISTILLERY OF THE YEAR Trophy at the The Spirit Guide Awards 2026.

After picking up a Gold Medal and 'Best in Australasia' award for our Roots Marlborough Dry Gin, a Gold Medal for our Roots Rosso Pinot Noir Gin and a Silver Medal for our Roots Light Marlborough Spirit (low alc), our combined entry score obtained the highest points for any distillery at this years UK based competition.

With entries from over 35 countries around the world, the combined Spirit Guide Awards and The Gin Guide Awards are one of the world's largest independent gin competitions, renowned for its rigorous, entirely blind judging process by a global panel of industry experts, spanning distillers to mixologists.

Epic result and another big win for NZ distillers on the international stage.

Managed through Talis Bartops, a company certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and Soil Association Woodmark as well as UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

A cork supplier who maintains their commitment to only harvest in responsibly managed forests with sustainable practices as well as a commitment to indigenous economic livelihoods.
