Peake's Kitchen and Papatowai Country Store A MUST VISIT IN PAPATOWAI, THE CATLINS, NEW ZEALAND! Come for the scenery, stay for the delicious food. The Store is open end of October to end of April.

Peake’s Kitchen and the Papatowai Country Store are located in the seaside settlement of Papatowai, the Catlins, New Zealand. Operating seasonally, the food truck kitchen is available on weekends end of October to Easter Weekend. Be sure to check our hours of operation. A great stop on your Catlins adventure, experience a unique store and delicious food and refreshments. You can also stock up on boutique groceries, gifts, b**r, w**e and more. Its definitely not to be missed! Operated by Nicole and Tom Peake.

Papatowai, you’re looking pretty spectacular today! 😍

Blue skies, crystal-clear water, warm sunshine and those beautiful little shady spots beneath the trees… days like these are made for slowing down and soaking it all in. 🌿

Dip your toes in the water, breathe in that fresh coastal air, find yourself a peaceful spot in the shade and let the world slow down for a moment.

Sometimes the simplest little adventures in your own backyard are the best ones. 💚

Koda certainly approves of today’s beach weather! 🐾 🐶

And as for me? Well… I really must remember to bring my jandals next time. Pink gumboots weren’t quite the beach footwear I had in mind! 😂🩷

Forget dumbbells and gym memberships… we’re pumping PICKLES at Peake’s Kitchen! 💪🤣

That’s right, 20 KILOGRAMS of McClure’s Pickles in one bucket! And here I was thinking I was just restocking the kitchen for this week’s service… turns out it’s arm day! 🏋️‍♀️🥒

But these aren’t just any pickles! 😏

They’re the deliciously crunchy McClure’s crinkle-cut pickles you’ll find stacked into our Famous Beef Burgers, bringing that epic crunch and unmistakable dill and mustard kick to every bite! 🍔 😋 if you are yet to try these pickles they are definitely some of our favourite available on the market and you can find smaller jars in stores or online.

Because when it comes to a great burger, every ingredient matters! ❤️

Turquoise waters, white sandy beaches, lush green rainforest and sunshine for days… Papatowai, you’re really showing off today! 💙

Bare feet in the warm sand, soaking up the sunshine and not a jacket in sight! 😎🏖️
