Good evening everyone,
Just wanted to make a little post to let people know that’s it’s the end of the waffle guy adventure for now.
It’s been an absolute pleasure to cook people the most authentic Belgian waffles I could make while being so far from my beautiful tiny country 🇧🇪.
It was challenging at times, from sticky waffles to unexpected rain pouring down (my apologies to MetService, there has been a few bad words coming out of my mouth while packing up in a hurry 🤷♂️). Despite a few flat tires, more than a few sticky waffles and a lot of scrubbing down the road, I’m still pretty lucky and proud to have called the Queenstown lakefront my office for so long !
I want to thank my fellow street food vendors, buskers, artists,… You all make this town a little more diverse and unique in your own way. Briann, , , , and many more !
I also want to thank my flatmates and friends for putting up with all my waffle stuff back home, it was noisy but worth it in the end 🧇
I’m now in the beautiful windy Wellington and ready for some new challenges ! The streets of Queenstown are safe again without a reckless waffle man driving around and slowing down traffic 🚦
Thank you to everyone that tried a waffle and keep on supporting small and local businesses !
Keep an eye open for a waffle shop that might pop up somewhere in New Zealand in the coming years 👀
Merci et au revoir ✌️
