This is the Mango Sticky Rice we’ve been waiting to share with you. 🥭

From steaming to mixing, every step matters. Our sticky rice is made fresh in small batches each day using our own recipe and technique for keeping each grain beautifully defined, soft and glossy, while absorbing just the right amount of rich coconut flavour. The taste and texture we know and love from Thailand.

We use fresh mangoes, carefully selected for each batch. They may not be Thai mangoes but we choose the best we can find to bring everything together as close as possible to what we enjoy back home.

Thank you so much to everyone who came in for it yesterday, and to everyone who keeps following and supporting us.

We love you💛💛

🥭 You asked, we listened…
The Mango Sticky Rice you’ve been waiting for will be available at Pak Soii from this Thursday.

Made fresh in limited batches each day. Once the day’s batch is gone, it’s gone. We’ll keep it coming for as long as we can get good mangoes 🥭

And yes… more Thai desserts are on the way.
This is only the beginning 🇹🇭

Pad Thai wasn’t originally on our menu, but so many of you asked for it that we decided to add it.

We’ve created a recipe that’s as close as possible to the Pad Thai we enjoy in Thailand. The only thing we’ve left out is dried shrimp, keeping in mind that some people may be allergic. We’ve kept the flavours as true to the original as we can.

Pure matcha, no sweetener, made just the way our customer likes it 🍵

A little Thai tip for enjoying sticky rice.

Pinch off a small piece and gently press it into a bite. It makes the rice softer, easier to eat and perfect for scooping up some som tam.

There are no rules 👌👌enjoy it your way. But this is how we love it 🇹🇭

A Thai classic, with a fresh pandan twist.

Meet one of our new menu additions: Cha Dam Yen topped with pandan cream cold foam. Stir it together and enjoy a taste similar to Thai milk tea, but lighter, with a fresh pandan aroma.

A little taste of Northern Thailand is now at Pak Soii Eatery.

Nam Ngiao is a Northern Thai noodle dish with a rich pork and tomato broth. It’s a comforting favourite with its own distinctive flavour.

Every province, village and family has its own version. My mum is from Lampang in Northern Thailand, so this dish has always been one of my favourites.

Our Nam Ngiao comes with dried cotton tree flowers, available in limited quantities as they’re difficult to import, and pork blood cubes. If you’d prefer to leave either out, just let us know. We make ours medium in spice, with extra chilli available at the table if you like it hotter 🌶️

Come and try it at Pak Soii Eatery, Level 1, The Crossing, Christchurch.
