A wee shop update from me & Dunc ❤️
A lot of customers have been wondering where I’ve disappeared to lately…
Big flash holiday? Nope. ✈️
Retired? Definitely not! 😂
Being lazy? Absolutely bloody not!
Shopping daily? Sadly, no. 🥬
Sold the business? HELL NO! 😂
Taking a bit of a break? Well… I guess you could call it that!
About 6 weeks ago I managed to break my leg, so I’m currently a little bit unable to get about for a few months while I repair myself. I’ve got a few rather impressive metal plates and screws holding my femur together now. 😳
It was an experience I wouldn’t wish on anyone — especially waiting 2 hours for an ambulance on a Friday afternoon because of where we live. But I’m fixed, I’m healing, and thankfully I’m lucky. ❤️
And both Dunc and I are bloody fortunate to have such a fantastic team behind us. Alex, Lucy & Sal are keeping everything ticking along beautifully, while I work remotely with them every day — yes, 7 days a week 😂 — so things are carrying on pretty much as normal.
Do I miss it?
Bloody oath I do.
I’m used to working, being busy, running around and generally having 47 things happening at once… so being told to sit still and rest is definitely NOT how I’m wired! 😂
But one good thing to come from all this is that it’s given me time to work on the wee business rather than constantly being in it. And that’s actually been pretty valuable.
I know some people have thought I’ve just decided to step away and cruise for a while…
That’s definitely not me. And honestly, their opinions don’t matter because they don’t know me or how I’m wired. 😉
I WILL be back.
So in the meantime, please keep choosing us when you’re doing your fruit & vege shopping. Every single customer who walks through our door helps keep our wee independent business going, and times like this make you realise even more just how incredibly lucky we are to have such a supportive community behind us.
From both me & Dunc — thank you. ❤️
I’m healing, I’m still working, I’m still bossing everyone around remotely 😂 and I’ll be back in the shop before you know it!
