Eclean NZ

Exciting times for TPE/Hugo and our eClean JV as we commence our final field trial in South Canterbury for the removal of nitrates from rivers and streams. The first Bioreactor trial started in 2022 installed alongside the Avon River, followed with our second Bioreactor installed by the Wigram Basin. Ngarie Scartozzi and her R&D team are based out of the Ara facilities in Christchurch. Visit: eclean.co.nz

At eClean, we’re doing more than just cleaning water. We're embracing the wisdom of indigenous cultures and blending it with cutting-edge technology. By combining advanced science with Mātauranga Māori (traditional Māori knowledge), we’re committed to preserving the life force of our waterways.
Working hand-in-hand with tangata whenua, we evaluate the health of our rivers and streams, focusing on site significance, mahinga kai (food gathering places), and overall stream health. Our bioreactor technology not only purifies but also strives to achieve the Māori dream of contaminant-free water, bringing our ecosystems back to life for cultural practices to flourish.
Join us in this journey of innovation and tradition, safeguarding New Zealand’s waterways for future generations. 💧🌏
