Over the last 6 months of 2020, we held weekly Saturday markets where vendors were unified under a set of values. The message was clear, we want to change the way we live together. We found this was an incredible space in which people from all walks of life felt they had a place, a way they could fit in, and do their part to support the movement towards a better future. Whether they belonged to a
vendor or a patron, smiles were all over the place on Saturdays. We began collecting waste from cafes and businesses within a 500m radius of Green Lane, and realised we could do this in a way that'd get hot.. hot enough to breakdown PLA and other plant-based plastics. We've continued to work on this model and now have the opportunity and space to refine and then distribute this blueprint to the wider community - and hopefully the world. Our vision is to help communities that take responsibility for the waste created by their business practices, and deal with it in a clean, enriching regenerative way. Our goal for 2021 is to establish these movements in harmony with one another, a beautiful unison between sustainable social economics and regenerative waste management, that enriches all aspects of the community within which it thrives.
