We can't wait for this magical, fun event which will include performances from local singer songwriters and entertainment and activities for tamariki. There will be a focus on traditional and contemporary Māori art, Rongoā Māori products as well as traditional kiwi kai and international dishes.⁠

-The fabulous entertaining our wonderful tamariki to kick off early at 5 pm.

- Great food to warm the Whānau and an onsite bar offering mulled wine and other refreshment.

- Talented local art and craft curators showcasing their stunning products.

Author and historian, Jo Bailey, will from 12pm in Market Sq be reading from her book ‘Never Forget’, featuring six moving true stories from World War II. ⁠⁠

It is also the last weekly Sunday mākete before going into hibernation. ⁠⁠

It is proposed that The Arts Centre Te Matatiki Toi Ora receive a $5.5 million capital grant spread over the next three years in the Christchurch City Council’s draft Long Term Plan 2021-31.

The Christchurch City Council will introduce a Special Heritage (Arts Centre) rate that will be set, based on property capital values and applied to all properties across the district until 30 June 2031.

The council wants to hear your views. The Arts Centre needs your support to get this much needed grant approved.
