Earthworks are underway this week on another major dairy development.

This greenfield conversion will include an 80-bail rotary dairy shed, 24-bay calf shed, two-pond effluent system, along with new laneways, fencing, stockwater infrastructure and housing.

With the earthworks now started, the scale of the overall development is beginning to take shape. A great site, a big programme of work ahead, and plenty more progress to come over the next few months.

🐄 PROJECT COMPLETION 🐄

Another successful dairy conversion delivered at Align Farms Hinterlands block.

From initial concept and design through to cups on, the Hinterlands dairy conversion showcases the value of early planning and project management through each stage of the development.

This project included:

- A new 60-bail rotary dairy with in-shed feeding and ACRs
- Integrated feed pad designed to complement the farm operation
- New two-pond effluent system
- Green wash incorporated on the feed pad for improved environmental and operational performance

These photos capture the journey from early earthworks and construction through to the completed development, highlighting the scale, complexity and attention to detail involved in bringing this project to life.

A huge effort from everyone involved to deliver a practical, efficient, and future-focused dairy platform at Hinterlands.

With calving just around the corner we start to move into the fitout phase of this conversion in Mid Canterbury. Saturday morning will see the platform poured, ready for plant fitout and wall panel installation to begin next week.

The calf shed build, feed silos, milk silo plinths and capping of laneways is also set to continue as mid-July creeps up 🐄👀
