Meet Jared, our Brewery Manager and a brewer with 15+ years of experience! 🍺

Growing up around the wine and beer-making scene of Marlborough, Jared found his way into brewing and hasn't looked back.

He loves the innovation and community that come with brewing, and his favourite Renaissance beer is Kaleidoscope NZ IPA - especially after it won Hop Growers Choice at the 2026 Smiths IPA Challenge with a new brew and a new team. 🏆

His favourite style? NZ Pilsner, brewed with his favourite ingredients - New Zealand hops and malt, the best in the world! 🇳🇿

His dream brew? An International IPA made alongside all the brewers he's worked with over the years. 🍻

Meet Scotty, our resident Liquid Whisperer! 🍺

A former surfer who first found brewing as a teenager, Scotty returned to commercial brewing around 7 years ago and hasn't looked back.

He loves the art-meets-science of brewing, with a particular passion for clean styles like Pilsners, West Coast Pilsners and Cold IPAs.

His Renaissance favourite? Paradox Pilsner - 4% of pure drinkability, with Riwaka hops stealing his heart. 💚

His dream beer? A Pilsner with no time limits. Lager me long time. 🍻
