Happy Matariki ✨️ Great to see the sun back out today ☀️

Lambing is in full swing here at Longlee Headquarters. We've got our lambing pens all set up ready to go, including some brand new boxes for the newborns that come in needing some warmth and lots of TLC. So far, they're still empty...!

Now that the weather is fine, it’s a great time for jetting sheep! With all the rain 🌧, sunshine 🌞, and muggy days, it’s a fly’s 🪰 dream — the perfect breeding ground for flystrike.

Watch out for:
• Extreme restlessness, tail wagging or twisting, stomping, and rubbing against objects
• Foul-smelling, dark, damp patches of wool, skin lesions, and visible maggots
• Lack of appetite and reluctance to move

We offer jetting for larger mobs, and for smaller mobs, we have pour-on treatment available. Get in touch if you’re noticing any of the signs above. If left untreated, flystrike can be fatal.

Sam was back at his old primary school today for pet day. First up was judging the pet lambs, then it was onto giving a wee shearing demonstration! The two Suffolk hoggets couldn't have sat any better for Sam.
