From yummy mummy to quick marching riding pony!
Highlands really do just enjoy working. It's been a whilst since I've ridden Anna and I had forgotten a) how stroppy she can be as she just wants to get on with it b) how big a ride an adult Highland is. I always think of Anna being pretty and dainty but she body slammed and pushed me and Asterix all the way round whilst on the lead and then when I was on board seemed to want to do it all again!
I love the fact that as a rider/backer of horses there are some you just know you can get on and go regardless of time off, regardless of experience and Highlands generally fit that bill 🦄🦄
Forever grateful for the superstar Asterix (Gypsy Cob) mind you, I don't know how or why he puts up with the s**t he does but when he's got a job he cracks on with it 😍
