We spent an afternoon at OCTO, a record shop, a listening bar, and now firmly one of my favourite places to drink.
Vinyl only, incredible sound, beautiful cocktails… and yes, you can actually leave with a record. How cool is that?

Jeremy has been playing with our Ode To Sauv Blanco Vermouth behind the bar and created two absolute stunners.

First up was Daylight Limited
Cacao washed tequila, Ode To Sauv Blanco Vermouth, Curaçao, Lemon

I was particularly excited for this one because I hadn’t yet tried our vermouth with tequila… and now I’m wondering why we waited so long.

Then came a spritzy little number:
Ode To Sauv, Yuzu syrup, Bitters, Soda

Bright, refreshing, low alc and dangerously easy to drink.

There is something pretty special about handing someone a bottle of vermouth and seeing them take it somewhere completely unexpected.

It was a true pleasure tasting Ode To Sauv in these beautiful creations and experiencing the magic of OCTO

It’s been three weeks since we launched our limited release Blanco vermouth.

The feedback has been nothing short of heartwarming... the kind that puts a real pep in your step and reminds you why you do this in the first place.

Introducing ODE TO SAUV
A limited release blanco-style vermouth.

A slightly unhinged love letter to Sauvignon Blanc.

Built on a Sauvignon Blanc base,
fortified with distilled Sauvignon Blanc,
and sweetened with fresh Sauvignon Blanc grape juice.

Aromatised with everything that screams sav:
• Fresh Nelson Sauvin hops
• Passionfruit
• Elderflower
• Citrus: lemon, lime, grapefruit
• Coriander seed

Then mugwort and wormwood bring it all together 💚
…that bitter vermouth edge we can’t do without.

Serve: over ice with a lemon peel.

Limited release batch.
Once it’s gone, it’s gone.

Not all vermouth is made the same... but here’s something that surprises people:

Most sweet (rosso/rojo) vermouth is made from white wine, with caramel used to achieve that signature colour.

We make our caramel ourselves... and golly gosh I was happy my phone didn't drop into my bubbling and boiling cauldron xo

A behind-the-scenes look at where our botanicals begin.

This is my mum’s property in Glen Afton. A garden filled with weird and wonderful plants, each with its own story and use. She knows them all, and more impressively, how to keep them thriving.

It’s a bit of a dream setup for making vermouth.
