Grow, baby, GROW! 🌱
Okay, I’m probably far too excited about these tiny little shoots… but LOOK AT THEM!!

These are growing straight from our plantable seed lids. I literally added soil, gave them some water and waited to see what would happen.

And now we have our own little pollinator gardens coming to life. 🌼🐝

This is the bit I love … imagining something that would normally be thrown away having another purpose. Honey enjoyed. Lid planted. Flowers growing. Bees buzzing. ♻️
And considering the crazy amount of rain they’ve had AND my slightly questionable gardening skills… I’m impressed, little guys.

Question for my honeys: if you planted your lid, where would you grow your little wild garden? 🌱👇

THIS is the kind of thing that gets me emotional. 🥹🐝🌱

A while ago I put soil into some of our plantable seed lids and thought… right, are you actually going to grow? 😂

AND LOOK!!! Little green shoots! 🌱🌱🌱

On the SAME day I’ve seen our Amazon store coming together and our stock has officially checked into Amazon USA. 🇺🇸🍯

As a small business, there are days you wonder if all the crazy ideas, hard work and sleepless nights are actually going somewhere.

Then something tiny pops out of the soil and says… keep going.
Even Boss & Violet agree. 🐾🐾💓💓

Because if I’m eating a bowl full of kale, quinoa and chickpeas, you better believe I’m making it taste bloody good 😂

I’ve officially found the REAL honey at the market today… and his name is Maverick. 🐱🍯
Look at those eyes!! 😍 A gorgeous Maine C**n casually wandering around on his lead like he owns the place.

Forget Hot Honey for a minute … Maverick has absolutely stolen the show. 😂

Market days… you just never know who you’re going to meet. ❤️

😂 POV: you come to a little Kiwi market to sell honey… and immediately get distracted by EVERYONE ELSE’S STUFF.
Chocolates ✔️
Candles ✔️
Coffee-sack bags ✔️
Knitting ✔️
Gorgeous earrings ✔️
A little local gossip ✔️😂
And apparently I’ve been put in the naughty corner AGAIN.

This is what I love about market days. ❤️ Real people, clever little businesses, recycled and handmade goodies, lots of laughs… and a whole bunch of Kiwi creativity under one roof.
Oh and somewhere amongst all my wandering around, I should probably remember I’m actually here to sell i Am HOT Honey + i Am REAL Honey. 🍯🔥😂

It’s been a BIG week, but the car is loaded with Honeys and I’m off to Clevedon Village Market.. (inside the hall) Clevedon Village Market
Today we’ve got i Am HOT Honey 🔥 + i Am REAL Honey 🍯 and I’ve got a pretty damn good combo deal happening if you want to try both. 👀

Come say hi, have a taste, meet some of the other amazing local artisans… and help me empty this car so I don’t have to load it all back in again. 😂

There are orders… and then there are REORDERS ❤️🍯. And as a very small business, this is the stuff that means the most to me.

Someone tried our honey. They liked it. They came back for more… and this is becoming a regular occurrence 💃

That, for me, is the best validation of all!

I still handwrite little notes and tuck them into orders because I genuinely appreciate every person who chooses to support what we’re building. It might be a small business, but every single order feels big to me.

And now the really exciting bit…

America, you can officially get addicted too. 🇺🇸🔥

Our stock is sitting in our New York 3PL ready to ship now, and we’re also about to load into Amazon.

So the Kiwis are no longer the only ones getting their hands on it !!
We’re still small. Still building. Still learning. But seeing reorders coming through in New Zealand while orders are now heading out in the USA feels pretty bloody special.

Apparently it’s BURGER DAY at the honey packers. 😂🍔🍯

I’m here packing more of our little Honeys ready for their BIG sea-freight adventure to the USA 🇺🇸… trying to be serious, trying to get the job done…

Then I ask Su what day it is.

BURGER DAY, HONEY! 😂

And off she goes. 🏃‍♀️🍔

You cannot make this stuff up. Just another completely normal day behind the scenes building a honey empire. 😂🍯🔥

It’s a misty one this morning, and I’m soaking it all in. There’s something beautiful about not being able to see too far ahead… but knowing the way will reveal itself as you keep moving.
Today is an exciting one. I’m off to the honey packer, shipping out your online orders …thank you, thank you to everyone ordering and our Amazon shipment is about to be checked, locked and loaded. 🇳🇿🍯🇺🇸

And there’s another little adventure happening today that I’ll share with you later… 👀

For now, I’m enjoying the mist and reminding myself:
