I am hot honey

A little honey, a lot of community spirit! 🍯🐝

Saturday morning at the Kawakawa Bay Market, doing what I love!

Found Marz, managed to sneak in a little chat, and now I’m all set up with my honey!

But today is about more than just a market. Our wonderful little community is coming together to raise funds for the Kawakawa Bay Health Clinic, a cause very close to my heart. ❤️

If you’re nearby, pop in, say hello and have a taste of our i Am Hot Honey and i Am Real Honey!

I love this little corner of the world, and I love seeing everyone come together to support it.

Who’s coming down for a taste? 🍯

Well, this Labour Weekend is going to be a little bit BONKERS! 🐝
Two markets, a suitcase to pack, and then I’m off to VEGAS!

🍯 Saturday – Kawakawa Bay Market, 9am–1pm, supporting the Kawakawa Bay Clinic Gala.

🍯 Sunday – Clevedon Village Market… with those fun fabulous team of artisans and my honey!

✈️ Monday – On a plane to the USA, where I’ll be speaking at SupplySide Global in Las Vegas as part of Bites of Brilliance, sharing my honey and our rather unusual packaging with the world!

From local markets to Las Vegas in 48 hours. What could possibly go wrong?

If you’re around this weekend, please come and say hello! Taste our beautiful premium Mānuka honey, check out our innovative beeswax packaging, and find out how we’re turning honey lids into gardens for the bees.

And honestly, a little encouragement before I jump on that plane would mean the world!

Building a brand is one crazy adventure, but I’m absolutely BEEleving in this one.

Come and see what all the buzz is about! 🐝 🐝 ♥️! Lisa

Some founders order samples. I apparently have to make every single one myself!
Getting ready for SupplySide Supply Side Global in Las Vegas, and I just couldn’t bring myself to hand out hundreds of little single-use plastic pots…
I’m a little obsessed with finding better ways to package things!

So here we are… handmade beeswax sample pots, filled with i Am Hot Honey, each one packaged with a little love.

I wanted people to feel special when they received their honey. Not just another sample to try and throw away.

It’s the little things that matter to me.

Will it change the world? Maybe not. But I BEEleave small changes add up.

And apparently, I don’t know how to do anything the easy way! 😂

Would you keep one of these little beeswax pots?

The girls are back in town… and they’re BUSY! 🐝🌸
Spring has arrived in New Zealand and my lavender is proving VERY popular with the local ladies!

Look at those little legs loaded with pollen! She’s clearly having a more productive morning than ‘i Am.’

I could watch these incredible little workers all day.

🐝 fun fact: Honeybees have special pollen baskets on their hind legs to carry pollen back to the hive!

🌸 Here in NZ, the bees are making the most of spring.

🍂 But to my friends in the USA, it’s fall! Are your bees still buzzing around the garden, or are they slowing down as winter approaches?

And my Kiwi friends, what are you planting for the bees this spring?

Two countries, two seasons, and one very important little pollinator!

🐝 I CAN HEAR THEM… BUT WHERE ARE THEY?! 👀

My Mānuka bush is buzzing this morning, but finding an actual bee is proving harder than expected! 😂

Meanwhile, Violet the pug has absolutely no trouble making herself heard!

Beautiful Mānuka flowers, the ocean in the background and two rather hefty pugs keeping me company.

Sometimes the best moments are the ones where you simply stop, listen and appreciate what’s around you. ❤️

i Am here. And there’s nowhere else I’d rather be right now.

Turn up the volume… can YOU hear the bees? And bonus points if you can spot one! 🐝
