Sun-grown grapes. Sun-powered winery. ☀️🍷

With 77kW of solar panels and 100kWh of battery storage, we generate enough electricity outside of harvest to power our winery in Clyde, plus other buildings onsite including our guest cottages and underground cellar, with surplus returned to the grid.

Solar energy is first used onsite, then stored, then shared.

We’re delighted to be featured in a recent Sydney Morning Herald Traveller story exploring Central Otago by bike; from the dramatic Roxburgh Gorge to the historic towns of the Otago Rail Trail 🚴‍♂️

During the journey, the writer stopped here at Monte Christo in Clyde, where our team shared the story of French pioneer Jean Désiré Féraud and the region’s first vineyard.
