The time has come to split our property in two 💕

As some of you already know, this has been in the pipeline for a while now and while we will be sad to leave our lovely home...
We aren't moving far!!! In fact, if you want... you could become our new neighbours!!

Big things have been happening!

Our subdivision application was approved earlier this year... and while we work towards meeting the conditions (anyone want to help plant 500 native plants down the back sometime soon?!), we have been getting the house section ready to put on the market.

So.... Who wants to be our neighbours? 😉

A wee update on some of the mahi we have put in lately to meet the conditions of our subdivision consent, and prep the house section for sale! 🙌🏼

- Linden spent this past weekend building the back boundary fence (as seen in the videos attached). “Best Valentine’s Day ever” he said 💐

- We have taken down the front paddock, levelled out the goat tracks made by several years of George and Dobby use, and are now re-grassing the area 🌱

- We have taken out most of the orchard netting, wires and poles not only for aesthetics but to make space for digger works that will be happening over the next while.

- We have started decluttering the house and washing the walls in preparation for Kerri The Lady Painter to come in and do some touch ups 👩🏼‍🎨

And over the next few weeks we have:
- the new entrance way off Pearson Road going in
- the new boundary fence around the 4000sqm house section being built (yay, more fencing)
- the new front fences being built (feel free to come join us for that one, bring a level 🤪)
And a heap of native planting to be planted down by the boundary fence!

Lots ticked off, but plenty more to go!

We are still getting Mathstone cherry creations dropping into our dm’s 🙌🏼

This came from Claire S, who froze most of their haul but kept some out to make a cherry cake AND bottle some in a sugar and brandy syrup 🤤🍒

🍒 OFFICIALLY CLOSED 🍒

We are now officially closed for the 25/26 cherry season, and before we disappear to carry on with life as usual, we just want to say a HUGE thank you! 🙏🏼

To our local community: friends, neighbours, families, familiar faces and first-timers… thank you for showing up, supporting local, filling buckets, bringing dogs, kids, smiles, and good vibes to help us strip the trees 🤌🏼

This season has been full of unexpected chats at the gate and in the orchard (to be fair is doesn’t take much to keep Sam yapping), and a lot of grateful humans coming back for seconds, thirds and fourths! So many picking to hand out to their community, family and friends (11/10 choice team, that’s what it’s all about!), and many taking home to experiment with in the kitchen 🥳

Your support means more to us than you know, and we feel incredibly grateful to have hosted, and shared this space with such a wonderful bunch of people.

We’ll be back before you know it 🍒
Until then… he waka eke noa. We are all in this together.
