We arrived in the beautiful West Coast for Agfest2026. Our day didn't quite go as anticipated, but we are so happy to be here.
A huge thank you to Charlie and the John the Joiner team from Ross for assisting us with our flat tyre.
The underfoot conditions at the event venue are not quite what we used to, but the Agfest team clearly know what they're doing. We look forward to introducing you to our beautiful products!!

Bubbles!!! Meet our new Méthode Traditionnelle 2019. This beautiful Sparkling w**e spent 6 year aging on lees. (Most Sparkling w**es in NZ age on lees for 18-36 months). I like to think of lees agint the same as sourdough bread. If you ferment the loaf for a short period, you will get big bubbles and mild flavour (Think Ciabatta). The longer it fermenrs,(like sourdough), the smaller the bubbles and the greater the flavour AND this extra fermentation increase the shelf life. Same principles apply to our Sparkling w**e!
Because of the extra lees aging and flavour development, we didn't add any extra sugar at the disgorgement process.

In the nose hints of berry & stone fruit, leesy / warm bread notes & some toasty oak aromas. On the palate, refreshing spritz, crisp with a lemon-citrus acidity, peach & berry fruit flavours, nicely textured & complex, bone dry, fruity finish. Delicious & very sip-able bubbles.

Crafted from Pinot Noir grapes handpicked from our Bannockburn Vineyard, fermented & aged in bottle using traditional Methode Traditionelle techniques.

I recently tasted a 2018 Pinot Noir Methode Traditionelle, the Southern Sweetheart Cherry Tawny 2018 and ‘mad hatters’ Single Vintage Tawny 2019 from 7th Heaven W**es in Central Otago.

These are made by The Jones Family’s at ‘Suncrest Orchard’, a family owned and operated orchard with a passion for growing premium quality fruit and making fruit ports and w**es.
