This is a great explanation. And it’s very simplistic, not accounting for all the benefits of cow manure in feeding the bugs and microorganisms in healthy soil and building carbon rich soil. Especially when not using drenches, chemicals and synthetic fertilisers that kill those bugs and microorganisms 🦠

Well it’s been a very wet Sunday here at Wild Meadows. Nothing like some home grown comfort food to warm us up. Our pure beef sausages, slow cooked beef cheeks, apple and rhubarb crumble and freshly made bread were on our menu today….. plus a wee walk in the rain!

Our next on-farm harvest is Monday 10 August — and we've got a few spots left.
Whole, half or quarter. Your choice of cuts. Harvested here on the farm with no transport stress, dry-aged on the bone for around ten days, then cut and packed exactly how you want it by a butcher near you.
Collect from Whangārei or North Auckland. Orders close Thursday 7 August.

Highly recommended this, especially to others that want to know where their meat comes from. Loved that I could customise the order to get the cuts that our family use. Awesome communication as well so I knew what was happening at each step.
