Happy Sunday everyone!

As some of you may have noticed, I haven’t been around The Bowling Club the past two weeks because I was able to take a holiday!

I actually haven’t taken a day off The Bowling Club since we’ve opened (except when we shut down), so it was a really big deal that I could go on holiday.

And the team did great! I was able to leave and barely think about work when I was away. I am really grateful to our team; I am humbled that I can work with such wonderful people. Thank you to you all.

I am proud of how far we’ve come since our opening days. Our main focus is to turn The Bowling Club into a sustainable organisation, that can continue to serve the community in the long run. It’s really feeling like we’re starting to get there.

And lastly, thank you to you all for sticking around with us and being in our community! It is a joy to be serving all of you, and we can’t wait to keep doing so for many years to come. ☮️🧡🥣

The most ordinary parts of life often feel the most special - like simply learning someone’s name, hearing what they got up to that day, and sharing some kai. That’s why we love our mahi so much - it’s full of so many simple, ordinary, shared moments with people.

We hope to see you all around for kai if you’ve got the time. We’re open Tuesday to Friday for lunch (11am to 2pm) & din (4 to 7:45pm) ☮️🧡🥣

Happy birthday to our teammate Nathan! 🎉

Nathan has been one of the main chefs here at The Bowling Club for over two years now. He’s a rockstar in the kitchen & he brings lots of flaaaavour to our lives (we’re sure you can all taste it)!

Nathan also carries a calm energy with him, which is especially nice in our loud n bustlin’ kitchen. We hope you can all feel his sense of calm when you’re here too.

Nathan is not a man of many words, though he shows immense care & kindness without them.

So, making a social media post about Nathan’s bday doesn’t really feel up-his-alley, but we want to because we know the people who love Nathan love to see his face (and so do people who don’t even know him) (and so do we).

Thanks for being you, Nathan, and thanks for sharing all your care with us. The Bowling Club wouldn’t be what it is today without you. Happy happy bday! ☮️🧡🥣

We feel ya!

Esther’s fav wrap is our beef on Fridays, with some cheeky blue cheese added in. I think I agree with her, but we’re both also big fans of our classic Whitestone Cheese halloumi wrap, and I usually add in some falafel to bulk it up too 😏

What are your fav wrap / baked potato combos around here? 🌯 🥗 🥔

There are lots of yum’n & scoff’n around here - it’s curry night! We’ve got our classic roast pumpkin dhal (served with a samosa, rice n minted peas & carrots) 🥕

You can also add a meaty side for +$3:
🔸 butter chicken
🔸 beef rendang

AND, carrot cake! One of our teammate’s partners is a carrot cake fanatic and really rates Bowling Club carrot cake, so come on by & give it a try! 😏

Bye 👋 🥺

It was our teammate Lucy’s last day at The Bowling Club yesterday as she’s moving cities for new season of life.

“It feels weird to be smiling,” Lucy said when we took this pic yesterday. We are so grateful that even though our working relationship has come to a close, we’re still smiling together (even though we cried a lil too). 💔

We all feel so grateful to have worked with Lucy, learnt from her, and grown close over the years.

Many of you may not have interacted face-to-face with Lucy as she normally worked back-of-house, but you sure have connected with her through her delicious loaves of bread, desserts, salads, coffees, and all the lil systems she has kept ticking along here - which have created a nice space for us all to gather and eat well (n cheaply) together. ❤️

Thank you for sharing your past couple of years with us, Lucy! We miss you already!! ☮️🧡🥣

Hey everybody, we’ve got a *new(ish)* menu item on tonight - goulash! We’re really excited about it! Please c’mon down, try it out & let us know what you think! We hope to keep out it as a staple here if you’re all into it!🌟

Our goulash is a hearty Hungarian-style stew made with chunky veggies, smoked paprika, herbs, garlic, garlic! We mix the saucy goodness with penne pasta. Choose between vegetarian & a pork version! 🥕

Today, we’re serving it up with roast pumpkin, garlic n herb focaccia, and our housemade red pepper sour cream. 🎃

Gluten-free, dairy-free & vegan options are available - as always 🌿

Happy roast night everybody!

We have roast chicken thighs (as always).

Today’s veggie protein: crumbed pumpkin fritters.

Today’s premium protein: roast pork.

All served with mashed potatoes, cauliflower cheese, slaw & somethin’ saucy (we recommend our pickle mayonnaise or pork gravy).

All the components are GF today, and we have dairy-free / vegan options available as always too. We’ll be serving kai til 7:45 & we’d love to have ya over! ☮️🧡🥣
