Let’s go Cherry!!

Many of you will have already received, or will soon receive, your voting papers. It’s all very simple, with everything you need included to help make your choices. Full lists and bios of candidates, plus multiple locations around the city where you can drop off those beautiful orange envelopes. Voting is a privilege, and living in a democracy is something to celebrate. I really encourage you to take part.

Special shout out to our younger residents, the decisions made by the city now will shape the future of Dunedin for you and for everyone who cares about what our city looks like.

I’ve had the absolute pleasure of serving as your councillor over the past three years. Not everything has been perfect, but I have worked hard to make you proud, learned so much, and would love to put that experience into practice for another three years fighting for you, the people, and the community of Dunedin.

I would be extremely grateful if you could vote #1 Cherry Lucas for Dunedin City Council. I promise to continue holding people to account, getting things done, staying out of the politics and headlines, and doing the job you want me to do.

We have had so many wonderful messages and visits over the last few weeks. It’s been overwhelming. We’re around for another couple of days with our doors closing on Friday so please do pop in, we would love to see you!!

Dunedin, we would love to see all your faces over the next week. On Friday, we close our doors for good. So come say hello, stock up, and give us a Christmas cuddle before we say our final goodbye.

A Heartfelt Goodbye from Artisan Pantry

It is with excitement tinged with sadness that we announce the sale of our Kaikorai Valley factory and shop. Since 1987, through Pasta d’Oro and now Artisan Pantry, we’ve dedicated ourselves to providing locally made, owned and sourced pasta products across New Zealand—especially here in Dunedin.

We’ve faced many challenges over the years—from global recessions to pandemics—and have navigated them with determination and the unwavering love we have for pasta, high-
quality local products, and, most importantly, all of you—our incredible community. We’ve spent the majority of our adult lives making pasta in one form or another, and while it’s bittersweet to close this chapter, we’re excited to begin the next one and enjoy our retirement.

Artisan Pantry will close its doors on Friday 20th December, so we invite you to come in, say goodbye, and stock up on your favourites—though some stocks are running low. The business has been acquired by another local company, who will not continue the pasta
and ready-made meals line. We wish them the very best.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, thank you, thank you. We will miss you—the loyal supporters, our long-time suppliers, and the many customers who have become like family. You are what we will miss the most.
