We are having a go at the ancient art of creating living trellis fences, using poplar & willow, for a section of our internal fencing for our track system. Both poplar & willow are great forage for horses (poplar has anti-inflammatory properties, & willow can act as an anthalmentic). We look forward to watching the fence grow & develop over the next few years!

Progress made today on our eco-project. 17 more trees in the ground. In a few years, they should shade the waterway, reducing the weeds/algae. Now to gather more ever-elusive time/money so we can get hundreds of more native trees in the ground and grow our forest. Thanks to our helpers, Katia & Zuzana from the Czech Republic.

Micki looking stunning as she sheds her winter woollies to reveal her much more interesting summer coat.
All ponies continuing to do great on a predominantly hay diet.
We're shifting our focus to put more energy into developing a mental health space. But birthdays and other parties will likely still feature.
We're developing things very slowly as we are just a family on one income while our kids are small, getting by one day at a time. Plus, we still have a bunch of fencing to fix after the July flood. But any spare time/money is going into making a space we will gladly share.
