Health and safety works best when it's practical, visible and part of everyday operations.

We're looking for a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Coordinator to work across our farming businesses, helping teams identify risks, improve systems, investigate incidents and strengthen a culture where everyone goes home safe. The role offers variety and the opportunity to work with people at every level of the business.

This role is based in the Selwyn District and you need to be in New Zealand to apply. If you're practical, organised and enjoy helping people solve problems, we'd love to hear from you.

Excellent news alert! We have only gone and bought ourselves a magnificent, 407-hectare patch of glorious land on Ardlui Road. Please give a warm, enthusiastic welcome to: Islington Farm Limited.

It is a wildly exciting addition to the Camden Group, and frankly, we can't wait to get our boots dirty and acquaint ourselves with every single blade of grass.

Even better? We're pleased to welcome Brendon, Anna and the existing farm team to the Camden Group. They've spent years getting to know the farm, season by season, and we're lucky that knowledge stays with the farm rather than going out the gate on settlement day.

We're keen to settle in in and figure out where the figurative light switches are, but right now? We are just outrageously thrilled to have Islington Farm on board. Bring it on!

✨ THE CROSSING DAIRY OFFICIALLY MILKING ✨

The Crossing Dairy Limited completed its very first milking on 16 July 2026. While there are a few final on-farm touches required, the shiny new shed is humming, and our magnificent four-legged ladies have clocked in.

Behind this very first drop of fresh milk is an absolute mountain of hard work, dedication from the Camden and Cox crew, and a serious amount of team spirit to bring this farm to life.

With that phase in the bag, we’re thrilled to hand the reins over to our superstar Farm Manager, Oliver Hampson, to lead the team and the herd into the season ahead.

Big thanks to Fonterra Farm Source for putting on a BBQ for the team to celebrate the launch of The Crossing Dairy. We are looking forward to turning on the dairy shed very soon!

FAREWELL KOHIKA

The Camden Group has sold its shares in Kohika Downs Ltd to Tony and Anna Wakelin, closing a long partnership and completing a Camden success story.

From junior roles at Willsden and Prairie through to managing Camden Farm, the Wakelins built their position step by step. They moved into sharemilking in 2009 and grew further, backing themselves and building equity through consistent performance and disciplined decisions.

In 2019, that progression led to Kohika Downs. The 501ha farm in South Canterbury has always been their destination. It is their forever farm. Full ownership now reflects 22 years of work toward that outcome, and a result worth celebrating.

The Camden Group acknowledges the strength of the partnership and celebrates our succession plan being completed. Kohika Downs now sits fully with the Wakelins as they take it forward into its next chapter.

We wish Tony, Anna, and their family well. They remain part of the Camden story, and we look forward to staying in touch!

👋 FAREWELL LIAM 👋

The end of the season means it’s time to say goodbye to another familiar face around the Group. Liam Alley wraps up six years with us, and he’s built a strong track record in that time.

He started as 2IC at Willsden Farm, stepped into the Farm Manager role at Camden Farm after a year, then returned to Willsden as Farm Manager for the past two seasons. Each move reflected the confidence placed in him and the results he delivered.

There have been plenty of great outcomes, with the standout being Willsden reaching a season production total of 500,000kgMS in 2024-25 under Liam’s watch - the only time that milestone has been achieved in the farm’s 25-year history.

Liam has been a steady presence across the farms he’s led. He’s well regarded by his teams, keeps things calm when it counts, and is always keen for a yarn. He’s built strong teams and contributed positively to our culture along the way.

Liam, thanks for the work you’ve put in and the time you’ve spent with us. You’ve played an important role over the last six years and we’ve appreciated having you in the Group. All the best for what’s ahead!
