We have always joked that one thing we have done right was naming our youngest son Trevor, I think we can safely say that Gladfield is an awesome name to name a farm and a malting company right? 👍👍

Who would’ve thought that our shovel off competition at our Growers Open Day last Wednesday would create such fearsome competition and attract our Prime Minister to join in! The rules were simple shovel 250kg of barley into the bucket as fast as you can. If you break the shovel you will have to pay for it 🪏 The fastest single time was 13 sec and the fastest doubles time was 10.38 sec. Christopher Luxon and David Birkett time was 18.57 sec

Yesterday was a special day, Gladfield Malt embraced the NZ Grown Grain Trademark initiative and invited our growers to celebrate and show support to an industry that is so important to New Zealand economy, food security and rural communities! Let’s celebrate our successes because the real hero here is our grain growers

It is not everyday you host a party and the Prime Minister shows up! Super proud moment for our family.
