Heidi's Herbs and Preserves Heidi's Herbs and Preserves. Based at Feilding Farmers Market, selling Hummus and Pesto, with fresh, home or locally grown produce and no added preservatives.

After years of making these delicious dips and preserves for friends and family, I have finally had the courage to pursue a dream I've had for a while and set up a market stall and share it with others. All these delicious treats have been well tried and tested with our social gatherings. Pickles, relishes, great with cheese platters, burgers or that added touch to roasts and cold meats . Also making delicious old time favorites; crab apple, loquat, blackberry jellies, as they come into season.

Hi everyone, Just letting you know I won't be going along to the Farmers markets anymore. It is being put on hold till further notice. Tony and I are starting a new journey and are buying a house bus to travel/work NZ. We are busy getting house ready for sale & starting the big sort/clean out. Plan to be off at the end of year sometime. All very exciting. Thank you for all your support and have enjoyed every minute over the last year. Has been a fantastic learning experience. Just shows you can do anything if you put your mind to it! Time for the next adventure now.See you round. It will not be the end of markets for me. Thanks Everyone!!

A Happy Easter to you all!! Had great weekend at the markets!! Quince paste & quince jelly selling well!! Gorgeuos weather!! If you haven't been along to Wanganui River Traders Market by the river, it is well worth visit. Took a few photos. Beautiful day!!! Only a 45 min trip from Feilding.

Here are a few photo's of what I have on my stall at the moment!! Have a new Hummus with Honey Roasted Carrots & Fennel, that has been very popular!! Will be making it with Purple Carrots again this week. Very colorful. I have my Rocket & Walnut pesto back on and Rocket Aioli with Horseradish. Have had some lovely friends drop off quinces so will hopefully have Quince Paste & Quince Jelly back in stock for Easter. A very busy time of year. The Crabapples are nearly ready too, so will have Rosemary and Rose petal jellies back. See you at the Market or give me a call if you can't make it down. Happy Harvesting Everyone!!!

Thought it was about time I had an update. Have had a few extra markets recently so have been busy keeping up supplies. Was at the Marton Harvest Festival last weekend, which was great day. Lots of cool stalls and live entertainment. Had Michael van de Elzen come and try my pesto. I got the thumbs up!! There was a large crowd to sees his demo. Amazing to see the 700kg pumpkin.
Have been going along to Whanganui River Traders Market for 6 weeks now & enjoy the trip over for the Saturday Market. Well worth the trip over. Here's a few snaps I took this morning.
Was at the Village Night Market in Palmerston North last night, with a great variety of stalls. Still lots of people not aware it's on. Think the next one is on 1st May, but will let you know.
A reminder that the Feilding Farmers Market is on Thursday, this week, before Easter. Have had a full market lately and a couple of new stall holders.Drop by early before work as some of us are set up by 8.30am.

For those who haven't been to see me lately I have two new hummus flavors: For something different. a sweet hummus, which goes great with a glass of wine, with Date, Cashew and Ginger. And a delicious Roast Capsicum & Herb Hummus, with lots of fresh herb flavors! I have Nasturtium Leaf Pesto back and Basil Pesto. I have a dairy free pesto usually too!! Just ask!! My Sesame & Thyme Lavosh is selling really well. with the added benefit of being gluten free. I still have Garlic Aioli and Parmesan & Chives Aioli!! Have another Pickle for the season, with Corn & Beans, along with Zuchinni & Pepper pickle and Beetroot Relish. Cucumbers are thriving this year so try my Cucumber & Mint Pickle!!

Been a while since I've updated. Have been busy keeping weeds down and watering the garden. Am going along to the Wanganui River Traders Market on Saturday morning now and going very well. Great atmosphere down by the river and a big variety of food and craft stalls; 8.30am till 1,00 pm. The Village Night Market is on this Friday night under the library on George street in Palmerston North; 5pm-9pm.

Just an updated price list. Pesto: Basil, Coriander or Nasturtium. Hummus: Lemon & Pepper, Chilli & Lime. Aioli: Garlic or Parmesan & Chives. Jam/Jelly: Crabapple Jelly, Rosemary jelly, Rose Petal Jelly, Raspberry Jam. Cordials: Elderflower & Lime, Grapefruit & Mint, Lemon & barley, Orange & Barley.
Relish/Pickles: Beetroot relish, Cucumber & Mint Pickle, Zucchini & Pepper Pickle
Dips of the Month: Roast Fennel & Dill Dip, Cashew, Date & Ginger Hummus.
Dried Herbs: Bay Leaves, Lemon Verbena, Rosemary.

Well, Christmas is in the air. Had a stall at Palmy X'mas parade. Busy day!!! Going to be at the Feilding X'mas Parade this Sunday from 10am. Will be at my usual spot in the square. A gift from the garden always goes down well. I will have my Roast Fennel & Dill Dip and Date, Cashew & Ginger Hummus which have been very popular. Have some Orange & Barley Cordial again, along with Elderflower & Lime and Grapefruit & Mint. Yum!! Especially with a dash of gin or vodka at the end of the day. I have some gift ideas also, if you would like to mix & match up some crackers or crostini with dips or relish/pickles. Enjoy the rest of your week and see you on Friday at Farmers Market or Sunday at the Parade!

Busy day tomorrow with Feilding Farmers Market & the Village Night Market at Library in Palmerston North. Have Basil Pesto now and a couple of Special Dips for the month. Roast Fennel and Dill Dip & Ginger, Cashew & Date Hummus. Very yummy!!! Great for rthe nibbles platter with Christmas celebrations coming up. No more rocket or coriander at moment, as all mine has gone to seed.

Had a very busy Friday at Feilding Farmers Market, with the Craft Market on at the Civic Centre. My new additions sold well especially Parmesan & Chives Aioli to go with the fresh asparagus at the moment. My Roast Fennel and Dill dip went down a treat too, so will have more this week. Remember if you need any particular herb, be in touch with me before Friday and if I have some I can bring it along. Will have lots of the grapefruit & Mint Cordial and Elderflower & Lime cordial this week. Sold heaps of the Rose Petal Jelly too, great for that special little gift. Planning on being at the Palmerston North "All I want for X'mas Market" on Parade day, and also going to be at Feilding X'mas parade in quadrant with some of the Farmers market stalls. Look forward to seeing you there. Come and say Hi!!!
