Great weekend celebrating Gisborne's 150th A&P Show with friends, family and sunshine☀️. It was nice for the show committee to bring back the prestigious East Coast Meat and Wool trophy for Best Pure Bred Beef Animal, dating back to 1944! Some past and present East Coast Studs are etched on there, and we were lucky enough to get our name on the trophy this year with our three yearling heifers judged by Peter Collins from Merrydale Angus in Australia, who came out specially for the show. Congratulations to Whangara who placed 2nd and Kaharau 3rd. Topping off a great weekend was sponsoring the Trans Tasman Bull riding on Friday night at the show, and the TK speed shear at The Ranga on Saturday night, both sports showcasing the best sportsmen and women in the world.
